The hope of this page is to encourage Messianic believers and even Hebrew Roots adherents to better understand Yeshua/Jesus and His Good News.
This page, while not always covering difficult topics, assumes the reader is a serious student of the scriptures and is capable of comprehending, or can come to comprehend that everything within the scriptures is within the context of the scriptures...that is to say it's all good for discussion.
I don't update this page as often as needed, and please forgive typos and spelling errors.
It is close enough as is so that you will get the idea.
I will likely have made doctrinal errors herein. I'm studying to show myself approved unto God (2 Tim.2:15). The reader is expected to do the same.
I suspect that in the millennial reign of Christ, He will take us all back to square one and teach us The Way.
It seems certain that the details of scripture could fill 1000 years (John 21:25).

Short Shabbat Seder for Christians with related Havdalah scriptures
This is a work in progress, I still would like to include some additional Hebrew and Greek phrases at some time.
Now days my family has grown to where we celebrate Shabbat Shalom in Yeshua everyday as per Hebrews 4:3!
Again
this year, 2023, for our Orthodox, Conservative, Reform and all Jewish friends I am inserting at the beginning
of our Haggadah something old for them to read anew as they search out
Scriptural Gems hidden from them by Rabbinical Judaism: Isaiah 53, with Isaiah
6:5. There's been no physical Temple or Sanctuary since 70 A.D. Talmud @Yoma
tells us that for 40 years before the Temple's destruction, that little crimson
strap didn't turn white, showing that the period sacrifices were ineffectual.
Thus since 70 A.D. till today there is no more temple sacrifice, no thus more
forgiveness of sin via the Mosaic Covenant and Levitical priesthood as
prescribed by the Torah. So what happened around 30A.D. (70-40=30) at Passover?
The crucifixion of Yeshua! And over 500 witnesses in the New
Testament/Brit Chadashah writings (apparently all Jewish writers, by the way) still testify
that he stood again out of the dead. And the Messiah Yeshua is readily seen through the
Hebrew Scriptures if you are sincerely looking...may we all have clear vision!
The 2023 Passover begins at sunset on Wednesday, April 5.

Hopefully the Haggadah does not encourage anyone trusting in Jesus to attempt to go back under the Sinai covenant/law. A lot of "Messianics" and/or Christians get confused, and worry about their "place". Isaiah 56 tells us that God brings foreigners to His Holy Mountain ALSO (rephrased: YHVH - Jehovah brings Gentiles with Him. This is hopeful! YHVH brings Gentiles with Him! God says he WILL set Israel above all nations (Deut.28:1-2). So we see that the nations that call on YHVH have a future supporting (underneath) role towards Israel. This is also hopeful. Of course, the ONE NEW MAN in MESSIAH is most hopeful.
*We keep in mind "to the Jew first, and to the Greek" and Jesus' explanations of the greatest and the least (Matt. 5:19; Mark 9:34,35; Mark 10:42-25).
We have dropped the egg, and should perhaps drop the shankbone, although the shankbone remains a good teaching witness to our Jewish brothers. We are keeping in mind that in Messiah Jesus charity/love has primacy, and that one of the purposes of Gentile Christians is to witness to Jews about their Messiah Yeshua.
As Passover sometimes coincides along with the weekly Sabbath, some may wish at such times to incorporate a few blessings from our Shabbat Sidur. The discussion therein regarding the Bread and Wine should provide helpful background to understanding them in the Passover Seder.
edits will continue...rethinking (learning) the "3rd cup" a bit...

Ralph Mount first made a vocabulary of New Testament Greek/English words. As much as possible, he consistently translated on Greek word into one English equivalent. There are a few instances wherein he translated a Greek word by more than one English word. Ralph said this was due to his limitations in Greek and English, and not due to God's limitations in Greek. After completing his vocabulary, Ralph used it to successfully translate the New Testament Greek.
There is very little interest in this translation; I believe this is because it doesn't leave much wiggle room for false doctrine.
Having an accurate, consistent bible translation is not necessary towards salvation. It has been beneficial to my family's bible study.
I've reproduced the preface and introduction here:

Jesus/Yeshua is the Cornerstone.
When the Jew sees and understands Psalm 118, then Messiah comes?
In particular, Psalm 118:14
Jehovah is my strength and song;
And he is become my salvation.
"my salvation" is from this Hebrew word: - ישועה yĕshuw`ah -i.e. Yeshua/Jesus
(also briefly noting that the letter sequence "ישוע" (yeshua) occurs 141 times in the Tanakh/ Old Testament.)
1 Corinthians 12:3 On-this-account I-am-making-known to-YOU that not-one speaking in (the) Spirit of-God is-saying: Anathema Jesus,
and not-one is-being-able to-say: Jehovah Jesus, unless in (the) Holy Spirit.

Why the Resurrection of Yeshua Matters (Hebrew4christians.com)
http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Holidays/Spring_Holidays/First_Fruits/Techiyat_ha-Mashiach/techiyat_ha-mashiach.html
by John Parsons
This is a very well written article. I might only note that there is a distinction given in the Greek between "the (ones) having-fallen-asleep through the Jesus" (τοὺς κοιμηθέντας διὰ τοῦ Ἰησοῦ -1Thes.4:14) and "the dead (ones) in Messiah" (οἱ νεκροὶ ἐν Χριστῷ -1Thes.4:16). This distinction may be viewed as small or great. I believe this distinction respectively relates to those with new bodies in sight of the throne that washed their stolees in the blood of the Lamb (Rev.7:9,14,15)and those souls under the altar that are GIVEN white stolees/robes (Rev.6:9,11). As this distinction effects my understanding of “tribulation, namely the great (one)”, it is likewise a “great” distinction to me. This distinction agrees with the “redemption-back” (ἀπολυτρώσεως - apolutroseos) power of our Propitiatory (ἱλαστήριον - hilasterion) Messiah Yeshua (Rom.3:24-25) (Understand this-Yeshua IS the Propitiatory...His sacrifice REMOVES our sin, and is not just a "covering" (atonement,) as was provided annually at Yom Kippur in the Levitical priesthood.)
ἀπολυτρώσεως - apolutroseos - "redemption-back" - is a releasing or forgiving or redeeming action that goes to the beginning of that which caused the state to become: it isn't redemption just for sins after the cross, or that you just did, but rather also redeems you and others -even those already dead - from earlier sins. Thus "redemption-back" translates the correct meaning of the Greek word -ἀπολυτρώσεως - apolutroseos. Redemption-back applies primarily to those "Old Testament" Jews, i.e. the redemption of Israel back to a restored kingdom.
I used to think this applied only to Jews that trusted in God's promises, but it may be that the redemption-back applies also to the disobedient/non-trusting Jews. IN Romans ch 11 we learn of three groups of Jews: 1) the choice that trusted in Jesus, 2) the petrified that were blinded by God to seeing Jesus as Messiah, and 3) the broken out that were disobedient/non-trusting.
Gentiles are grafted into (εἰς eis @Rom.11:23 the Root Jesus (Rev.22:16) and in AMONG (ἐν en @Rom.11:17) the branches of the cultivated olive tree, which includes BOTH (?) the Choice and the Petrified Jews. Of course to the Choice, Jesus provides propitiation. The Petrified did not trust in Jesus, but this was due to the blindness God placed on them...they were trusting in YHVH the Father to send a Messiah to redeem them, they just could not see. I believe the Petrified are ALSO "covered" - atonement is provided for them ALSO through the blood of the Lamb, Yeshua, our Propitiatory. However, they have not yet acknowledged Jesus is that YHVH Messiah Elohim (Phil 2:9-11) so they are not YET in sight of the throne (Rev 6:9). (perhaps note the distinction between "atonement" -covering of sins, and "propitiation" -sins removed.) They will look on Him whom they pierced and mourn and there will be a great conversion at their resurrection. In this, we may view them as "safe" in the Blood of the Lamb, but not yet "saved". * ALONG with this, note that the Jews that listened to Jesus and trusted YHVH the Father before the cross were saved - -i.e. Salvation before the cross! Jesus says so:
John 5:24 Amen amen I-am-saying to-YOU, That the (one) hearing my word, and trusting to-the (one) having-sent me, is-having life eternal, and is not coming into judgement, BUT he-has-changed-location-and-is-changed-(in)-location out-of the death into the life.
Note the present and past tenses: hearing, trusting, has-changed, is-changed. This is before the cross, and Jesus does not lie...the Jews that heard Jesus' word and trusted in YHVH the Father were saved.
Further, it may be that the redemption-back includes even those Jews that are broken-out of the olive tree (Rom.11:26 ..and all Israel will be saved):
John 5:25 Amen amen I-am-saying to-YOU, That (an) hour is-coming and now is, (present tense!) when the (ones) dead shall-hear-for-themselves the voice of-the son of-the God, and the (ones) having-heard they-will-themselves-live.
However, the parable of Lazarus and the rich man would seem to indicate that this is not applying to the broken out, which leaves it to apply to the petrified. In that, perhaps it is being said that those Jews in the "O.T. past" that trusted in YHVH's Word, would NOW (when Jesus spoke this) hear. [consider revising...]
In these things, we see "darkly", or with
partial understanding. Even so, we
may see the greater love of the Father in providing redemption - i.e. even
propitiation - back to those that lived prior to the cross. BUT we may
understand correctly that this redemption-back is retroactive from the
Cross...that is part of the power of God. Consider the man on the cross
with Jesus: Jesus told him he would be in Paradise with him that day (Lu.23:42)...and he
said it before he died. We make the connection that it was dependent upon
Jesus' death - BUT! - Jesus had not shed his blood and died yet, and was
three days yet to be stood-again.
Further, we may see a greater love in the presentation of the Gospel from the creation. The Gospel in the Stars, the Gospel in the Garden, the Gospel preached to Abraham (the Akedah), and so forth all pointed to Jesus. We see that those in "Old Testament" times that were trusting (Hebrews 11) in YHVH had and have a valid hope of a future heavenly life (Heb.11:16). That may be a difficult concept. Consider that Moses and Elijah appeared with Jesus before the cross in Israel. Graciously, we are not required to know everything! (1 Cor.13:12)

In Judaism, a 12 month cycle of Torah reading is followed. As this is mimicked in the "Messianic" group (which tends to grow into "Messy-antics"), I've built this page around this cycle (to be a Jew for the Jew, as per Paul's better witness example). The actual Torah cycle of Jesus' time was likely a 3 to 3 1/2 year triennial cycle.

This was an early teaching and as Ralph learned more he changed some things. In The Truth About Jesus If You Really Want To Know, Ralph moved the date of Yeshua's last Passover by a day or so. While that may sound likely to invalidate the title, if you read this you will see that the core teachings still stand.

I would point out that Mount is also saying that it would not have been ok for Mary to have had an abortion.

John Parsons / hebrew4christians.com has been a "go to" source for encouragement and a daily/weekly// Word of Truth. I love brother John! I link to a lot of his articles on this page.
John really likes the Talmud (and many words and things of Judaism), and while he may be strong enough to use it for good, I'm not sure that I am. There is a lot of good in the Talmud (and the same can be said for Roman Catholicism, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc) but the Talmud also blasphemes Jesus by equating him as Balaam (Sanhedrin 106a footnote).... keep that in mind. I need to write a note about Messianic Judaism....a little leaven leavens the total lump...distinguishing knowledge, understanding, wisdom....
I wonder; Through "Hebrew-roots/Messianic study", how many are led from Judaism into Christianity vs. how many are led from Christianity into Rabbinical Judaism.
That said, I don't think there's a better writer on the web for those that are
already trapped in "Messy-Antic" Judaism...
Update May 27, 2017
I urge you to use extreme caution here. This week I came across the following commentary from John Parsons on Facebook:
and on his related website article:
http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Articles/Tradition/tradition.html
While there are a FEW "problems" with the Hebrew and Greek texts, they are limited to a few known word discrepancies, i.e. copyist mistakes. I have noticed that while John rides a pendulum that swings between grace and law, he often speaks graciously. However, he apparently fell off on the "law" side, and I feel that John is very much in error here. His commentary here certainly seems to contradict what he has written elsewhere. I'll keep him in prayer.
In Lu.9:28-29 we see that the shape of Jesus' face was different, and that not all the disciples clearly saw Jesus in Glory. It's really hard to imagine such a vast difference within the twelve. Yet all were disciples chosen by Jesus (Jn.6:12), including Judas, whom Jesus said WILL judge (Matt.19:27). In Matt.25:5 we read that ALL ten virgins were sleeping when the bridegroom arrived. As soon as we close our eyes, we are in darkness. Luke 1:79 "To-APPEAR-CLEARLY to-the (ones) SITTING IN DARKNESS and in shadow of-death; to-completely-direct our feet with-reference-to (a) way of-peace. v80 But the child-(pre-teen) was-growing and was-becoming-mighty in spirit; and he-was in the wildernesses till (a) day of-his DISPLAYING to THE ISRAELI." -- Even the "Torah observant" Israeli/Jew was (is) sitting in darkness. -- Luke 11:34 "The lamp of-the body is the eye; therefore at-the-time-that your eye might-be simple, your total body also is full-of-light; but whenever it-might-be evil, your body also (is) full-of-darkness.v35 You-be-contemplating therefore lest the light namely-the-(one) in you is darkness.v36 If therefore your total body (is) full-of-light, not having any part full-of-darkness, it-will-be full-of-light total, as at-the-time-that the lamp might-be-enlightening you with-the beam-of-light." We are not to have any part of that darkness - "Cast out the maidservant and her son" (Gal.4:21-5:1). Now (for instance) the Roman Catholics worship Jesus...but they also errantly worship and pray to Mary, and we understand that this is Satan's deception, and although there is, as in all religions, much feel good stuff in the RCC, we do not participate (2Cor.6:14-17). It seems likely that Satan has also influenced Rabbinical Judaism...

Introduction
The Jews of today break up the scripture into weekly portions. Most follow an annual cycle, although some follow a triennial cycle, which is thought to be the cycle followed at the time period that Jesus walked and talked in Jerusalem and Israel, which agrees with the commonly held thought that his ministry lasted about three years.
Following is a link that provides support for the triennial cycle:
https://northwestmessianicfellowship.org/triennial-cycle/
and for a seven year cycle:
http://www.betemunah.org/shmita.html
I've completed a cycle of "annual" portions on this page. I'll likely add to these "portions" over time. Use your browser's search function to find the various Parashat on this page or click the links in the above index.
Again, these notes are, of course, not "full commentary", as that may be found elsewhere.

To Judge or not to Judge
Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews, Book XX, ch 9, indicates that James, the brother of Jesus, was stoned to death in A.D. 62. Therefore James wrote this book before the destruction of the Temple. The "diaspora" had already begun. [Diaspora is when the Jews are not living in the Land of Israel when they could, and Galut is when the Jews are not living in Israel because they can't, historically often because there was no Jewish state. SO: The Galut lasted between 70A.D. and May 1948.]
James 1:1 James slave of-God and of-Jehovah Jesus Messiah to-the twelve tribes namely-the (ones) in the diaspora to-be-rejoicing.
Note that there are no lost tribes!
http://www.cotopaxi-colorado.com/BIBLE/MOUNT/NO_LOST_TRIBES.htm
James 4:1
From-whence (are) wars and from-whence (are) fights
among YOU? (Are-they) not hence out-of YOUR pleasures namely-the (ones)
serving-in-the-army in YOUR members?
v2 YOU-are-desiring, and YOU-are not having; YOU-are-murdering and
YOU-are-being-jealous, and YOU-are not being-able to-attain; YOU-are-fighting
and YOU-are-waring; YOU-are not having because YOU (are) not
to-be-asking-for-yourself.
v3 YOU-are-requesting and YOU-are not taking, for-the-reason-that
YOU-for-yourselves-are badly requesting in-order-that YOU-might-spend in YOUR
pleasures.
v4 Adulteresses, are-YOU not
knowing-absolutely that the friendship of-the world is enmity of-the God? Who
therefore if he-might-be-purposed to-be (a) friend of-the world, he-is-being
established (an) enemy of-the God.
v5 Or (are) YOU-thinking that vainly the scripture is-saying; The spirit which
resided among us is-longing toward envy?
v6 But he-is-giving
greater favor; on-this-account he-is-saying; the
God is-arraying-against proud-(ones) but
he-is-giving favor to-humble
(ones).
v7 YOU-be-subject therefore to-the God; but YOU-withstand
the devil, and he-will-flee from YOU.
Cont. James 4:8
YOU-draw-near to-the God, and
he-will-draw-near to-YOU. YOU-cleanse hands,
sinners, and YOU-purify hearts, double-souled (ones).
v9 YOU-be-miserable and mourn and weep; let YOUR laughter be-turned-about into
mourning and the joy into dejection.
v10 YOU-be-humbled in
Jehovah's sight and he-will-raise YOU to-(a)-height.
This seems to be the
popular scripture used to preach no judging by Christians. Again, James
specifically addresses this epistle to Jews.
v11 YOU-be not speaking-against one-another, brothers, the (one)
speaking-against (a) brother or judging his brother is-speaking-against *law
and is-judging law; but if you-are-judging *law, you-are not (a) doer
*of-law BUT (a) judge.
v12
One is lawgiver and judge, the (one who) can save and destroy;
but you, who are-you, the (one) judging the neighbor?
*This refers to Mosaic law. Here, the neighbor is the brother, and the brother is a Jew, as James is addressed to the twelve tribes. This epistle is written to both Jewish believers in Jesus and Jews that were blinded by God to the fact that the veil was rent (Rom.11). Often the sense seems to show that it was written primarily to the latter. At any rate, there were more non-trusting Jews in the Diaspora through time. Note Acts 15, there is a distinction in law obligations (even if said only for appearances 1Cor. 9:23) between the Jew and Gentile that trust in Jesus.
v13 Come now the (ones) saying; today or tomorrow we-shall-proceed into this the
city here and we-shall-do there (a) year and we-shall-merchandise and
we-shall-gain;
v14 YOU-are they-who (are) not comprehending of-the-morrow what-sort YOUR life.
For YOU-are mist appearing to (a) little-bit (of-time) thereafter also
vanishing;
v15 Instead-of YOUR to-be-saying; if the Lord might-have-willed we-shall also
live and we-shall-do this or that.
v16 But now YOU-are-boasting in YOUR arrogances; all reason-to-boast
such-as-this is evil.
v17 Therefore to (one) knowing-absolutely to-be-doing (a) fine-(thing) and to
not be-doing, it-is sin to-him.
Granted, this also provides good advice to Gentile Christians, as are these commandments to Israel:
Leviticus 19:15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty; but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor.
“righteousness” - from צֶדֶק - tzedek - Strong's H6664: Some make a connection between this noun and tzedakah - charitable giving (alms), and that may be correct. Note Parashah Ke Teitzei . This is NOT saying we should lie when we judge, and call evil good or label good as evil. That is, if we call someone good that really isn't, but we don't want to be un-neighborly, we are not making righteous judgment. We might be politically correct lovers of the world, but we are not making righteous judgment, but are rather an abomination to God. Certainly Jesus never intended for us to do that.
Leviticus
19:16
Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy
people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor: I am
Jehovah.
Cont. Lev.
19:17
Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart:
thou shalt surely rebuke thy neighbor,
and not bear sin because of him.
18 Thou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of
thy people; but
thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am Jehovah.
Leviticus 19:35
Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of
weight, or of quantity.
Deuteronomy 25:13 -Thou
shalt not have in thy bag diverse weights, a great and a small.
14 Thou shalt not have in thy house diverse measures, a great and a
small.
15 A perfect and just weight shalt thou
have; a perfect and just measure shalt
thou have: that thy days may be long in the land which Jehovah
thy God giveth thee.
16 For all that do such things, [even] all that do unrighteously, are an
abomination unto Jehovah thy God.
Note also Romans 12:3 For I-am-saying, through the favor namely-the (favor) having-been-given to-me, to everyone being among YOU, not to-be-having-opinion-beyond beside what is-essential to-be-having-opinion, BUT to-be-having-opinion with-reference-to be-being-of-sound-mind, as the God parted to-each (a) measure of-trust.
Note Parasha Ke_Teitzei; all are found wanting (lacking weight) in the balances - that is, all are unworthy. With some study, we may learn that "the price which covered was paid, and outweighed the price which was deficient", and this speaks through the gospel in the garden and the gospel in the stars of the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We are perfectly "balanced" in Messiah Yeshua. Praise Yah!
Deuteronomy1:1
These are the words which Moses spake unto all Israel beyond the Jordan in the
wilderness, in the Arabah over against Suph, between Paran, and Tophel, and
Laban, and Hazeroth, and Di-zahab.
Moses speaking:
Deuteronomy 1:17
Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; ye shall hear the small and the
great alike; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is
God's: and the cause that is too hard for you ye shall bring unto me, and I
will hear it.
Moses was a type of Jesus. There is one mediator between mankind and God, Jesus Christ. Believers take things that are hard to judge to God.
Jesus taught this responsibility to judge:
Matthew 7:1
YOU-be not judging, in-order-that YOU-might not be-judged:
v2 For with what sentence YOU-are-judging, YOU-will-be-judged; and with what
measure YOU-are-measuring, it-will-be-measured-in-return to-YOU.
v3 But why are-you-looking-at the chip, namely-the (one) in the eye of-your
brother, but you-are not taking-note-of the rafter in your eye?
v4 Or how will-you-say to your brother, You-let-be I-might-cast-out the chip
from your eye: and behold, the rafter (is) in your eye?
v5 Hypocrite, you first cast-out the rafter out-of your eye, and then
you-will-look-thoroughly to-cast-out the chip out-of the eye namely-the (one)
of-your brother.
[Note - you get the
rafter out of your own eye then you judge the chip in your brother's eye. So
here, the Jews could judge each other even without perfect vision - they could
have a chip in their eye and still judge their brother.]
Matthew 7:28
And it-came-to-pass when the Jesus finished these-words completely the crowds
were-being-surprised upon his doctrine.
[Jesus was speaking to a primarily Jewish crowd, and he always spoke to the Jewish crowd in parables (Matt.13:34).There was no Gentile crowd, although there may have been a few (or even quite a few) present.]
John 7:24
"YOU-be not judging according-to countenance,
BUT YOU-judge the just judgement."
1 Corinthians 6:1
Is someone of-YOU having (a) matter with the different (one), daring
to-be-being-judged over of-the unrighteous and NOT over of-the holy (ones)?
v2 Or are-YOU
not knowing-absolutely that
the holy (ones)
will-judge the world? And if with
YOU
the world is-being-judged, are-YOU
(ones) unworthy of-the-least tribunals?
v3 Are-YOU
not knowing-absolutely that
we-shall-judge
messengers? In-fact whether-at-all (the) things-pertaining-to-this-life?
v4 If therefore on-the-one-hand YOU-might-be-having tribunals
(of)-things-pertaining-to-this-life, YOU-be-causing these, the (ones)
having-been-and-still-treated-with-contempt in the assembly, to-be-seated.
v5 I-am-saying to-YOU toward humiliation. Thus is-there not among YOU (a) wise
(one), but-not one, who shall-be-able to-discriminate amid his brother(s)?
v6 BUT
brother with brother
is-being-judged, and this over of-unbelieving
(ones).
v7 Already on-the-one-hand therefore there-is totally inferiority with-YOU that
YOU-are-having sentences with yourselves. Why are-YOU NOT rather
being-done-harm? Why are-YOU NOT rather being-deprived?
v8 BUT YOU yourselves-are-doing-harm and YOU-are-depriving, and this,
brothers.
[Again, this isn't
saying everyone is your brother.]
v9 Or are-YOU not knowing-absolutely that
unjust (ones)
will not inherit
(the) kingdom of-God?
YOU-be not being-led-astray; neither
male-prostitutes
nor
idolaters
nor
adulterers
nor

covetous (ones),

will-inherit
(the) Kingdom of-God.
v11 And these-things some (of YOU) were;
BUT YOU-bathed-yourselves-off, BUT YOU-were-made-holy, BUT YOU-were-justified in
the name of-the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of-our God.
So we ARE to judge, and separate the holy from the profane, the common from the uncommon:
Leviticus 10:10 "and that ye may make a distinction between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean;
So then, distinguish four things, and in that, between two sets of things:
the holy | the common
the unclean | the clean

All-things (are)-legitimate,

v14 But the God also raised the Lord and he-will-raise-out us through his power.
v15
Are-YOU not knowing-absolutely that YOUR bodies are members of-Messiah?
Therefore having-lifted-up
the members of-the Messiah
shall-I-make members of-a-prostitute?
May-it not come-to-pass.
v16 Or are-YOU not knowing-absolutely that
the (one) uniting-himself to-the

For YOU-were-bought-in-the-market

YOU indeed glorify the God in YOUR body.

As we go along The Way, it seems imperative that we judge righteously. We should try to use a lot of Mercy when we look at fellow believers. While sects are essential (1Cor.11:19), certain doctrinal truths must be adhered to. We are to have no part with idols/idolatry/idolatrous worship.

A bit on Vows
Numbers ch.30 talks about vows and oaths. In vanity we make a vow: who then can be saved? There is a lot of YHVH's mercy to be seen in who can make them null and void in this chapter which seems to be largely overlooked. It is also comforting to know that the Father and/or Husband may annul the vow made by either the wife and/or daughter, and YHVH will forgive her. And if need be, the Father will bear the wife's iniquity (Num. ch30 ; Jer.2:2-3; Eph.5:15-32, Isa.53:4-5). A greater New Covenantal picture seen here is that Mercy is from God, and Mercy is His prerogative:
Numbers 30:1 And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded.
These commandments regarding vows are specifically to Israel/Jews. Those that say they are Jews and are not, may be seen as Gentiles who are saying they are Jews, and are in reality the synagogue of Satan (Rev. 2:9) The Holy Spirit is not confused in his giving of the scriptures. This includes the larger portion of the "Christian" "Church", which includes a large portion of (at least Gentile) "Messianic" "believers". Theologically/doctrinally, all of these are offshoots of the Roman Catholic (Ecumenical) Church (And this by the doctrine that the Church is the Bride of Christ, and therefore the "true Israel". In other words, by saying they are the Bride of Christ, the "churches" say they are Jews - yet of course they are not. There IS an Assembly of God, the Body of Messiah (Eph.5). Recall Satan said "I will make myself like unto the Most High." [Isa.14:13-14] And he has, with the RCC as the Body of Satan. This is a hard saying, like "as many as I love". Note again though this is stated in Rev.2:9:
Revelation 2:8
And to-the messenger of-the assembly in Smyrna you-write:
These-things-here the first and the last, who became dead and he-himself-lived
is-saying:
v9 I-know-absolutely your tribulation and poverty, BUT you-are rich, and
the blasphemy out-of the (ones) saying themselves to-be Jews, and they-are
not BUT synagogue of-the Satan.
The RCC
doctrine evolved over hundreds of years, but way back in the Smyrna period this
error was reintroduced. Further, the RCC doctrine of Mary as mother of God and
co-redemtrix and the pope as god originated with Satan in ancient Babylon. Note
the Mercy in that there are true believers in this period of assembly history.
Perhaps if we think about the different church periods outlined in Revelation

Numbers 30:2 When a man voweth a vow unto Jehovah, or sweareth an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
There is a difference
between what a man says and what a woman says:
3 Also when a woman voweth a vow unto Jehovah, and bindeth herself by a bond,
being in her father's house, in her youth,
4 and her father heareth her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath
bound her soul, and her father holdeth his peace at her; then all her
vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.
5 But
if her father disallow her
in the day that he heareth,
none of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall
stand: and Jehovah will forgive her,
because her father disallowed her.
Here we may see a prophetic reference that the daughter of Zion, Israel, may be forgiven if YHVH the Father disallows her "vow" into adultery with another husband.
Lamentations 2:13 What shall I testify unto thee? what shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? For thy breach is great like the sea: who can heal thee?
Zephaniah 3:14
Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the
heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
Lamentations 4:22
The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no
more carry thee away into captivity: He will visit thine iniquity, O daughter
of Edom; he will uncover thy sins.
Edom is another daughter.
For another study; perhaps this passage is related to the image of Daniel 2?
Micah 4:13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; for I will make thy horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass; and thou shalt beat in pieces many peoples: and I will devote their gain unto Jehovah, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.
Cont.
Numbers 30:6
And if she be married to a husband, while her vows are upon her,
or the rash utterance of her lips, wherewith she hath bound her soul,
7 and her husband hear it, and hold his peace at her in the day that he heareth
it; then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul
shall stand.
8 But
if her husband disallow her
in the day that he heareth it,
then he shall make void her vow
which is upon her, and the rash utterance of her lips, wherewith she hath bound
her soul:
and Jehovah will forgive her.
Here again we may see the bride of Messiah, Israel (See Bride Pride), is forgiven. Of course this protection by the husband from making an errant vow applies also to New Testament believers, the very united (echad) body of Messiah:
Ephesians 5:15
Therefore YOU-be-looking-at exactly how YOU-are-walking-around, not as unwise
BUT as wise,
v16 Buying-out-for-yourselves the season, because the days are evil.
v17 Because-of this YOU-be not becoming foolish, BUT
YOU-be-perceiving what the will of-the Lord
(is).
v18 And YOU-be not being-gotten-drunk with-wine, in which is dissipation, BUT
YOU-be-being-filled with (the) Spirit,
v19 Speaking to-yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing-odes
and playing-psalms-on-stringed-instruments in YOUR heart to-the Lord,
v20 Giving-thanks always in-behalf-of all (things) in (the) name of our Lord
Jesus Messiah to-the God and Father,
v21 Subjecting-yourselves to-one-another in fear of Messiah.
v22 The wives to their own husbands as to-the Lord,
v23 Because (a) husband is head of-the wife as also
the Messiah (is) head of-the assembly, himself Savior of-the body.
v24 BUT as the assembly is-itself-subjecting to-the Messiah, thus also the wives
to-the husbands in every (thing).
v25 The husbands, YOU-be-cherishing the wives, according-as also
the Messiah cherished the assembly and gave himself over in-behalf-of her,
v26 In-order-that
he-might-make her holy having-cleansed (her) by-the bath of-the water in (a)
saying,
v27 In-order-that
he-might himself stand-alongside to-himself the assembly glorious,
not having spot or wrinkle or any of-the (things) such-as-these, BUT
in-order-that she-might-be holy and unblemished,
Note the "kashering" of the woman/N.T. assembly in order that Jesus might stand it alongside to himself:
Numbers 31:23 everything that may abide the fire, ye shall make to go through the fire, and it shall be clean; nevertheless it shall be purified with the water for impurity: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make to go through the water.
Ephesians 5:28
Thus also the husbands are-being-indebted to-be-cherishing the wives
of-themselves as the bodies of-themselves. The (one) cherishing the wife
of-himself is-cherishing himself;
v29 And for not-one at-any-time hated the flesh of-himself, BUT he-is-nurturing
and he-is-fostering it, according-as also the Messiah the assembly,
v30
Because we-are members of his body.
v31
Instead-of this (a) MAN shall-leave-behind the father and the mother and
he-shall-be-very-united to his wife and the two shall-be with-reference-to
flesh, one.
v32
This mystery is great,
but I-myself am-saying with-reference-to Messiah and with-reference-to the
assembly.
v33 Further also YOU the (ones), according-to one (man), thus let each
be-cherishing the wife of-himself as himself, but in-order-that the wife
might-be-fearing the husband.
Numbers 30:9 But the vow of a widow, or of her that is divorced, even everything wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand against her.
Romans 7:1 Or are-YOU-being-ignorant, brothers, for I-am-speaking to-(ones)-coming-to-know law, that the law is-exercising-lordship of-the MAN on as-long time as he-is-living?
v2 For the woman under-a-husband has-been-and-is-still-bound by-law to-the living husband; but if the husband might-die-off, she-has-been-and-is still-rendered-inactive from the law of-the husband.
v3 So therefore, while the husband (is) living, she-will-be-termed (an) adulteress if she-might-become to-(a)-different man; but if the husband might-die-off, she-is free from the law, she (will) not be (an) adulteress having-become to-(a)-different man.
v4 So-that, my brothers, YOU yourselves also were-put-to-death to-the law through the body of-the Messiah, with-reference-to YOU to-become to-(a)-different (one), to-the (one) having-been-raised out-of dead (ones), in-order-that we-might-bring-forth-fruit to-the God.
v5 For when we-were in the flesh, the sufferings of-the sins the (sufferings) through the law were-operating in our members with-reference-to the (object) to-bring-forth-fruit to-the death;
v6 But
at-this-instant
we-were-rendered-inactive
from
the law,
having-died-off
in which we-were-being-held-fast, so-that we (are) to-be-being-a-slave
in newness of-spirit
and not
in-oldness of-letter.
In considering Romans
7:1-6, it appears that those not in a covenant (old or new) relationship with
YHVH are liable for their vows. Note those who have tasted God's mercy in
relation to His new covenant and then "remarry" the old covenant are worse off
than before:
Hebrews 10:29
To-how-much of-worse vengeance are-YOU-thinking will-he-be-thought worthy, the
(one)
having-trodden-down
the Son of-the God
and having-considered
the blood of-the covenant,
in which he-was-made-holy,
common,
and having-insulted-within
the Spirit
of-the
favor?
v30 For we-are-knowing-absolutely the (one) having-said: To-me an-avenging, I
myself will-repay; and again: Jehovah will-judge his people.
.
Numbers
30:10
And if she vowed in her husband's house, or bound her soul by a bond with an
oath,
11 and her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not;
then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall
stand.
12 But if her husband made them null and void in the day that he heard them,
then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the
bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void;
and Jehovah will forgive her.
13
Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may
establish it, or her husband may make it void.
"May" - it is the father's prerogative. And that is the Father’s prerogative.
The greater picture here is that Mercy is from God:
Romans 9:15 For to-the Moses he-is saying: I-shall-have-mercy-on whomever I-might-be-having-mercy, and I-shall-pity whomever I-might-be-pitying. [Ex. 33:19]
Numbers 30:14
But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day, then he
establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he hath
established them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard
them.
15 But if he shall make them null and void after that he hath heard them,
then
he shall bear her iniquity.
Numbers 30:16 These are the statutes, which Jehovah commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between a father and his daughter, being in her youth, in her father's house.
15 "But if he shall make them null and void after that he hath heard them, then he shall bear her iniquity. "
So if God, willing to show his mercy to all, has blinded part of Israel, then even all Israel will be saved:
Romans 11:25 For I-am not willing (for) YOU to-be-being-ignorant brothers, (of) this mystery, in-order that YOU-might not be prudent in yourselves, that petrifaction has-come-to-pass-and-still-is from part to-the Israeli, until of-which (time) the fulness of-the Gentiles might-come-in,
v26 And thus all Israel will-be-saved, according-as it-has-been-and-still-is-written: The (one) delivering will-be-present out-of Sion, he-will-turn-back impiety from Jacob.
v27 And this (is) the covenant from me to-them, at-the-time-that I-might-remove-for-myself their sins.
v28 On-the-one-hand enemies according-to the good-news because-of YOU, on-the-other-hand cherished (ones) according-to the choice because-of the fathers;
v29 For the bestowed-favors and the calling of-the God (are) unregrettable.
v30 For as-altogether YOU yourselves at-one-time disobeyed the God, but now YOU-had-mercy-bestowed in-the disobedience of-these.
v31 Thus these also now disobeyed in-order-that by your mercy they themselves also might now have-mercy-bestowed.
v32 For the God shut-together all the (ones) with-reference-to disobedience in-order-that he-might-have-mercy (on) all the (ones).
Jeremiah
2:1
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
2 Go, and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, I
remember for thee the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals;
how thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.
3
Israel
was holiness unto Jehovah, the first-fruits of his increase: all that devour him
shall be held guilty; evil shall come upon them, saith Jehovah.
Jehovah remembers Israel. On the cross, YHVH Yeshua bore Israel's, and all the world's iniquity. Praise Yah.
Isaiah 53:4
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him
stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities;
the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way;
and
Jehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
On the cross, YHVH Yeshua bore Israel's, and all the world's iniquity. Praise Yah.
Matthew 5 - Jesus teaching his disciples, before the cross, so before the death of the testator, so before the New Testament; Most of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are still old covenant scriptures. For that reason Jesus says:
Matthew 5:17 Might-YOU not suppose that I-came to-over-throw the law or the prophets: I-came not to-over-throw, BUT to-fulfill.
In the midst of changing the commandments of the old covenant ("YOU-heard that it-was-said to-the ancients... ...But I myself-am-saying to-YOU"), Jesus also changes the commandment concerning vows:
Matthew
5:33 Again,
YOU-heard that
it-was-said to-the
ancients, you-will not perjure-yourself,
but you-will-give-back to-the Lord your oaths.
v34 But
I myself-am-saying to-YOU
to not swear totally,
(i.e. don't
swear at all)
neither in the heaven, because it-is (the) throne of-the God;
v35 Nor in the earth, because it-is (the) footstool of-his feet: nor
with-reference-to Jerusalem, because it-is (the) city of-the great King.
v36 Nor might-you-swear in your head, because you-are not being-able to-make one
hair white or black.
v37
But let YOUR word be, yea, yea; nay, nay:
but the-(thing) excessive of-these is out-of the evil (one).
Now this isn't saying to be a bump on a log regarding the Good News/Gospel of Jesus as we are instructed to study and be ready to defend the Truth (1Tim.3:16; 2Tim.2:15; 2Tim.4:1; ), but rather this is saying when we speak, our words carry weight without additionally swearing by God, Heaven, earth, etc.. It seems a connection may be made between Jesus changing things and where the Sanctuary of God is now located:
1 Corinthians 3:16 Are-YOU not knowing-absolutely that YOU-are (the) sanctuary of-God and the Spirit of-the God is-dwelling in YOU?
And of course, what we say is important:
Romans 14:10 But why are-you yourself judging your brother? Or why are-you yourself also treating your brother with contempt? For we-shall-ourselves all stand-alongside to-the rostrum of-the Messiah. [or "God."]
v11 For it-has-been-and-is-still-written: I my-self am-living, Jehovah is-saying, That to-me every knee will-bend, and every tongue will-acknowledge to-the God.
v12 So therefore each (one) of-us will-give account concerning himself to-the God.
v13 Therefore might-we no-longer be-judging one-another; BUT YOU-judge this rather, to-be not putting stumbling or entrapment for-the brother.
v14 I-am-knowing-absolutely and I-have-been-and-still-am-persuaded in Jehovah Jesus that not-one-thing (is) common through itself; unless to-the (one) figuring something to-be common, to-that (one) (it-is) common.
v15 For if because-of food your brother is-being-grieved, you-are no-more walking-around according-to charity. You-be not destroying that (one) by your food, in-behalf-of whom Messiah died-off.
v16 Let not therefore YOUR good be-being-blasphemed.
v17 For the kingdom of-the God is not eating (food) and drinking, BUT justice and peace and joy in (the) Holy Spirit;
v18 For the (one) in this being-a-slave to-the Messiah (is) well-pleasing to-the God and approved by-the MEN.
v19 So therefore let-us-pursue the-things of-the peace and the-things of-the building-up, of-the (building-up) with-reference-to one-another.
At the rostrum of the Messiah, believers will have in their account (stores in heaven) the vow of the trust.
This is the vow of the trust:
Romans 10:8
BUT what is-it-saying?
The saying
is near you, in your mouth and in your heart;
the saying of-the trust
which we-are-preaching is this;
v9 That
if you-might-confess with your mouth Jehovah Jesus, and you-might-trust
in your heart that the God raised him out-of dead (ones),
you-will-be-saved;
v10 For
with-heart
he-is-being-trusted with-reference-to righteousness, but
with-mouth he-is-being-confessed
with-reference-to salvation.
“With heart”: in Rom. 10:10 a distinction may be seen between the Jew that trusts in YHVH and the Jew & Gentile Christian that trusts in YHVH and trusts & confesses that Jesus is Messiah and YHVH. (?)
“In your heart”:
Matthew 6:6 But you, at-the-time-that you-might-be-praying, you-go-in into your storechamber, and having-shut your door, you-pray to-your Father, namely-the (one) in the hidden; and your Father, namely-the (one) looking in the hidden-(thing) will-give-back to-you in the manifest-(thing).
Matthew 6:19 YOU-be not storing-up for-YOU stores on the earth, where-in-which moth and eating is-vanishing, and where-in-which thieves are-digging-through and they-are-stealing;
v20 But YOU-be-storing-up for-YOU, stores in heaven, where-in-which neither moth nor eating is-vanishing, and where-in-which thieves are not digging-through nor are-they-stealing.
v21 For where-in-which is YOUR store, there YOUR heart will-be also.
“In heaven”:
1 Corinthians 3:16 "Are YOU not knowing absolutely that YOU are the sanctuary of the God, and the spirit of God is dwelling in YOU?
2 Corinthians 12:2
I-am-knowing-absolutely (a) MAN in Messiah fourteen years before,--whether
in body I-am not knowing-absolutely, or outside the body I-am not
knowing-absolutely, the God is-knowing-absolutely, --the (one)
such-as-this-having-been-seized till (the)
third heaven.
v3
And I-am-knowing absolutely the MAN such-as-this--whether
in body or outside the body I-am not knowing-absolutely, the God
is-knowing-absolutely,--
This is the "Christ in you."
Colossians 1:26 "The mystery namely-the (one) having-been-and-still-hidden-back from the ages and from the generations--but now was-manifested to his holy-ones,
v27 To-whom the God willed to-make-known what the riches of-the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Messiah in YOU, the hope of-the glory;"
Ephesians 3:14
For-sake-of this I-am-bending my knees to the Father,
v15
Out-of whom every lineage in heavens and on earth is-being-named,
v16
in-order-that he-might-give to-YOU according-to the riches of his glory
with-power to-be-made-mighty through his Spirit
with-reference-to
the inside MAN,
v17 The Messiah to-reside through the trust
in YOUR hearts,
having-been-and-still-rooted also having-been-and-still-founded in charity.
v18
in-order-that YOU-might-be-quite-able to-apprehend with all the holy-ones what
the breadth and length and height and depth,
v19
And-additionally to-know
the charity of-the Messiah
surpassing [the] knowledge, in-order-that YOU-might-be-filled with-reference-to
all the fulness of-the God.
John 2:19 The Jesus answered and said to-them, YOU-break-down this sanctuary, and in three days I-shall-raise it.
v20 The Jews therefore said, In forty and six years this sanctuary was-built, and you yourself-will-raise it in three days?
v21 But that (one) was-saying concerning the sanctuary [ναοῦ naou from ναός naos G3485] of-his body.
The Sanctuary and The Temple:
The Sanctuary of the Temple is God's Home. Fact 7, pp6, "DISCOURSE 1: A Confused Church" www.cotopaxi-colorado.com/BIBLE/MOUNT/ralph_mount_bible_study_index.htm
The saying “Home is where the heart is” applies here. The home of God is the temple [ἱερός hieros, G2413], and more specifically the sanctuary [ναός naos G3485], and now the sanctuary of God is in you.
John 2:13 And the passover of-the Jews was near, and the Jesus ascended into Jerusalem.
v14 And he-found in the temple [ἱερῷ hierō - from ἱερός hieros, G2413] the (ones) offering for-sale oxen and sheep and doves, and the coin-changers sitting;
v15 And having-made (a) lash out-of ropes he-cast-out all out-of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he-poured-out the coin of-the money-changers and he-turned-about the tables.
v16 And to-the (ones) offering the doves for-sale he-said, YOU-remove these-(things) hence; YOU-be not making the home [οἶκον] of-my Father (a) home [οἶκον] of-merchandise.
v17 But his disciples were-made-mindful that it-is having-been-written-and-is-still-written, The zeal of-your home [οἴκου] devoured me.
Psalm 69:9 For the zeal [קִנְאַת qinat, LXX: ζῆλος -zālos] of thy house [from בַּיִת bayith H1004; LXX: οἴκου] hath eaten me up; And the reproaches of them that reproach thee are fallen upon me.
Luke 17:20 But having-been-questioned by the Pharisees, at-what-time the kingdom of-the God is-coming, he-answered to-them and said, The kingdom of-the God is not coming with (a) keeping-alongside;
v21 Nor will-they-say, Behold here, or behold there; for behold the kingdom of-the God is interior of-YOU.
The “home” of God is the sanctuary:
Luke 11:51 From the blood of-Abel till the blood of-Zacharias, of-the (one) having-perished between the altar and the [τοῦ] home [οἴκου G3624]; yea, I-am-saying to-YOU, it-will-be-sought-out from this generation.
2 Chronicles 24:21 And they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house (home) [LXX: οἴκου] of Jehovah.
1 Corinthians 3:9 For we-are fellow-workers of God; (a) farm of-God, YOU-are (a) building of-God.
1 Corinthians 3:16 "Are YOU not knowing absolutely that YOU are the sanctuary [ναὸς – naos] of the God, and the spirit of God is dwelling [οἰκεῖ - oikei] in YOU?"
2 Corinthians 1:21 But the (one) making us firm with YOU with-reference-to Messiah and having-consecrated us (is) God,
v22 The (one) also having-sealed us for-himself and having-given the down-payment of-the Spirit in our hearts.
James 5:15 And the vow of-the trust will-save the (one) being-fatigued, and the Lord will-raise him, and-if he-might-be having-done-and-still-is-doing sins it-will-be-forgiven to-him.
If any man sin, we are trusting to have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ. (A New Covenantal hope is that our Attorney/Advocate Jesus Christ – the Supreme lawgiver - will speak on our behalf.)
- And there is a sin to death, but also a sin NOT to death.
1 John 5:16
If someone might-see his brother sinning (a) sin not to death,
he-shall-request, and he-will-give to-him life, for-the (ones) sinning not to
death. There-is sin to death; I-am not saying in-order-that
he-might-interrogate concerning that (sin).
v17
All unrighteousness is sin, and there-is sin not to death.
IF any man
sin,
1 John 2:1 My little-children, these-things I-am-writing to-YOU in-order-that YOU-might not sin. And if someone might-sin, we-are-having (an) advocate with the Father, Jesus Messiah (a) just (one);
So, often enough much of the Messianic assembly is the Christian’s weaker brother:
Romans 14:1 But YOU-be-taking-to-yourselves the (one) being-weak in-the trust, not with-reference-to discriminations of-deliberations.
Romans 12:3 For I-am-saying, through the favor namely-the (favor) having-been-given to-me, to everyone being among YOU, not to-be-having-opinion-beyond beside what is-essential to-be-having-opinion, BUT to-be-having-opinion with-reference-to be-being-of-sound-mind, as the God parted to-each (a) measure of-trust.
And this is not saying to go with the flow, but rather having sound doctrine. If a brother (or sister) commits spiritual adultery we are not to "be weak" for him and go along with his doctrine.
2 Timothy 2:15
"You-be-diligent yourself to-stand-along-side approved to-the God, (a) workman
unashamed, cutting-straight
the word of-the truth."
16
"But you-be-standing-around-for-yourself-away-from the profane empty-chatters;
for they-will-progress upon much-more of-impiety,"

Considering the vows section in Parashah Mattot as shadows of the greater New Covenant relationship does not weaken the weight of the words in Numbers 30, but rather indeed makes them weightier. For instance, now with this knowledge, we understand that the father's acceptance of his daughter's vow now has a greater spiritual weight attached to its importance.

Numbers 25:10 - 30:1
Haftarah portion:
1 Kings 18:46 - 19:21
Brit Chadashah/New Testament portion:
Romans 11:2-32
We often read surrounding N.T. scripture because it is such a blessing to do so.
This week we of course again read all of Romans ch. 11.
~~~~~
Last week’s Parashah, Balak, had a good bit about Phinehas.
Numbers
25:10
And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath
turned my
wrath
away
from
the children of Israel,
in that he was
jealous
with
my jealousy
[בְּקַנְאוֹ
among them, so that I consumed not the children of Israel in
my jealousy[בְּקִנְאָתִיֽ׃].
12 Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
See John Parson’s commentary on the broken Vav - @The Gospel of Pinchas:
13 and it shall be unto him, and to his seed after him, the covenant of an
everlasting priesthood; because he was
for his God,
and made
atonement
[כַפֵּר
the children of Israel.
קִנֵּא
qana' - kä·nä'
--to envy, be jealous, be envious, be
zealous
Romans 8:1 "So
(there-is) now not-one condemnation's-punishment to-the (ones) in Messiah
Jesus." -
Romans 8:2 "For the law of-the spirit of-the life in Messiah Jesus made me free from the law of the sin and of-the death."
Yeshua is our Propitiatory.
The zeal of YHVH of Hosts does this:
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us *a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
John 3:16 For thus the God cherished the world so-that *he-gave his son, namely-the only-begotten, in-order-that every-(one) the (one) trusting with-reference-to him might not perish, BUT he-might-be-having life eternal.v17 For the God dispatched not his son into the world in-order-that he-might-be-judging the world, BUT in-order-that the world might-be-saved through him.
Isaiah 9:7
Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the
throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with
justice and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal
[קִנְאָה
qin'ah
of Jehovah of hosts
will perform this.
The Zeal of YHVH Jesus does this:
John 2:13 And the passover of-the Jews was near, and the Jesus ascended into Jerusalem.
v14 And he-found in the temple the (ones) offering for-sale oxen and sheep and doves, and the coin-changers sitting;
v15 And having-made (a) lash out-of ropes he-cast-out all out-of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he-poured-out the coin of-the money-changers and he-turned-about the tables.
v16 And to-the (ones) offering the doves for-sale he-said, YOU-remove these-(things) hence; YOU-be not making the home of-my Father (a) home of-merchandise.
v17 But his disciples were-made-mindful that it-is having-been-written-and-is-still-written, The zeal of-your home devoured me.
Psalm 69:9a For the zeal [קִנְאַת qinat, LXX: ζῆλος -zālos] of thy house hath eaten me up;
9b And the reproaches of them that reproach thee are fallen upon me.
This week, Romans 11:31 jumps out:
Romans 11:31 Thus these also now disobeyed in-order-that by your mercy they themselves also might now have-mercy-bestowed.
Romans 11:29 For the bestowed-favors and the calling of-the God (are) unregrettable.
v30 For as-altogether YOU yourselves at-one-time disobeyed the God, but now YOU-had-mercy-bestowed in-the disobedience of-these.
v31 Thus these also now disobeyed in-order-that by your mercy they themselves also might now have-mercy-bestowed.
v32 For the God shut-together all the (ones) with-reference-to disobedience in-order-that he-might-have-mercy (on) all the (ones).
That is a difficult passage. And the Holy Spirit knows that it is difficult, and consoles us:
v33 O depth of-God's riches and wisdom and knowledge; as unsearchable his sentences and untraceable his ways.
v34 For who came-to-know (the) mind of Jehovah? Or who became his fellow-counsellor?
v35 Or who gave-before to-him, and it-will-be-repaid to-him?
v36 Because out-of him and through him and with-reference-to him (are) the all-things; to-him (be) the glory with-reference-to the ages: Amen.
We (those that trust in Jesus) are to show mercy to Jews that are blinded by God (part of His mercy to us) to the truth of John 10:30 "I and the Father are ONE". How can Mercy be given through our showing our mercy? What mercy???
Bring to mind Matthew 5:7 - Happy the (ones) merciful; because they themselves-will-have-mercy-bestowed.
Perhaps Ephesians 5 helps understand this:
Ephesians 5:30
Because
we-are members of his body.
v31 Instead-of this (a) MAN shall-leave-behind the father and the mother and
he-shall-be-very-united to his wife and the two shall-be with-reference-to
flesh, one.
v32
This mystery is great,
but I-myself am-saying with-reference-to Messiah and with-reference-to the
assembly.
Without vanity, we might see loving our neighbor as God's zeal working through us in (the body of) Messiah, to YHVH be the Glory.
1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, in-order-that we-might-trust in-the name of-his son Jesus Messiah and we-might-be-cherishing one-another according-as he-gave commandment to-us.
Understand that Yeshua(Jesus) IS YHVH:
John 10:30 I and the father are one.
v24 And the (one) keeping
his commandments
is-remaining in him and he in him; and in this we-are-coming-to-know that
he-is-remaining in us, out-of the Spirit which he-gave to-us.
Mark 12:29 But the Jesus answered him, That first-of-all of-the commandments, (is) you-be-hearing, Israel, Jehovah our God Jehovah is one.
Mark12:30 And you-will-cherish Jehovah your God out-of your total heart and out-of your total soul and out-of your total intellect and out-of your total strength. This (is the) first commandment.
Exodus 20:1
And God spake all these words, saying,
2
I am Jehovah thy God,
who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee a graven image, nor any likeness of any
thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in
the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them, for I
Jehovah thy God am a jealous
[קַנָּא]
God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon
the fourth generation of them that hate me,
6
and showing lovingkindness unto thousands of them that love me and keep my
commandments.
Note here the severity: "unto thousands" of YHVH's lovingkindness. Not everyone responds to God's love...
Mark 12:31 And (the) like second (is) this: You-will-cherish your neighbor as yourself. Another commandment greater of-these is not.
Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people; but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am Jehovah.
Leviticus 19:33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not do him wrong.
34 The stranger [הַגֵּר ] that sojourneth [הַגָּר] with you shall be unto you as the home-born [כְּאֶזְרָח - "native"] among you , and thou shalt love him as thyself [כָּמֹוךָ]; for ye were sojourners [גֵרִים] in the land of Egypt: I am Jehovah your God.
Note: I think the correct corresponding Hebrew is indicated here.
Who is my neighbor?
Luke 10:29
But
the-(one) willing to-be-justifying himself
said to the Jesus, And who is my neighbor?
v30 But having-taken (it) up
the Jesus said,
(A) certain MAN was-descending from Jerusalem into Jericho, and he-fell-into
robbers, who also having-stripped him and having-put-upon (him) blows went-away,
having-let (him) go reaching half-dead.
v31 But according-to (a) coincidence
(a) certain priest
was-descending in that way and having-seen him he-went-by-on-the-other-side;
v32 But likewise also
(a) Levite,
having-come-to-be according-to the place, having-come and having-seen
he-went-by-on-the-other-side.
v33 But (a) certain traveling
Samaritan
came according-to him, and having-seen him he-was-moved-with-compassion,
v34 And having-come-near he-bound-down his wounds, pouring-on oil and wine; but
having-mounted him upon (his) own animal he-led him into (an) inn, and
he-cared-for him.
v35 And upon the morrow having-come-out having-cast-out two denarii he-gave
(them) to-the innkeeper, and he-said to-him, You-care-for him, and whatsoever
something you-might-spend-in-addition, I myself-shall-give-back to-you with my
to-be-coming-back.
v36 Therefore which of-these three
is-seeming to-you to-have-become neighbor of-the-(one)
having-fallen-in into the robbers?
v37 But the-(one) said, The-(one)
having-done
the mercy
with him.
The Jesus
therefore
said
to-him, You-be-proceeding, and you
yourself-be-doing likewise.
Remember that Mercy is from God:
Romans 9:15 For to-the Moses he-is saying: I-shall-have-mercy-on whomever I-might-be-having-mercy, and I-shall-pity whomever I-might-be-pitying. [Ex. 32:19]
(Luke
10:29-37).
Who is your neighbor?
-- You are!
well...yes, but
- @Lev. 19:34 "the stranger that sojourneth WITH YOU..." - I'm missing the
obvious inclusiveness of -everyone- at large in the world.
If God loved everyone, sure, then everyone is our neighbor. But we read "AS MANY
as I love" (Rev.3:19) and note that "as many" = "not all". Remembering here
"Many are called, few are chosen." And "...the wicked and him that loveth
violence his soul hateth"(Ps.11:5). God doesn't love everyone - and so, as
members of the body of Messiah - Christians shouldn't either (1Cor.3:16).
At Lu.10:37 "he that showed mercy" is our neighbor, and yes I understand that we
are to be that neighbor, however there is a story/parable told here and a
commandment also. The commandment (Lu.10:27) says to love God, and love your
neighbor as your self (Luke.10:27). The story/parable answers the followup
question to the commandment "Who is my neighbor?" (vs29) with "he that showed
mercy". THEN Jesus says "Go, and do thou likewise"(vs37). "Go and do thou
likewise" does not define/answer "Who is my neighbor?"; but rather "Go and do
thou likewise" is a restatement of "Love your neighbor as yourself". We don't
know the hearts of men but by "doing likewise" i.e. by being "The-(one)
having-done the mercy with him"
we become the
neighbor. The "neighbor" in Luke 10 may be seen as Jesus...
We are told to be holy…
1 Peter 1:15 BUT according-to the holy-(one) having-called YOU also YOU yourselves become holy in all conduct,
v16 For-the-reason-that it-has-been-written-and-is-still-written: YOU-shall-be holy because I (am) holy. (Lev.11:44; 19:2; 20:26)
1Corinthians 3:16 Are-YOU not knowing-absolutely that YOU-are (the) sanctuary of-God and the Spirit of-the God is-dwelling in YOU?
The Mercy - cherishing the neighbor - coming "from you" originates in Jehovah Jesus, because God loved us first:
1 John 4:19 We ourselves-are-cherishing, because he himself first cherished us.
John 3:16 For thus the God cherished the world so-that he-gave his son, namely-the only-begotten, in-order-that every-(one) the (one) trusting with-reference-to him might not perish, BUT he-might-be-having life eternal.
God loved first. Note especially that "cherished" is past tense.
John 3:21 But the (one) doing the truth is-coming to the light, in-order-that his works might-be-manifested that (they-are) having-been-worked in God.
John 6:29 "The Jesus answered and said to-them, This is the work of-the God, in-order-that you-might-trust with-reference-to whom that (one) dispatched."
Our Trust IN JESUS is our work.
Understand this also as that the trust is from God....our trust is the manifestation of God working in us....we don't even merit "credit" for our trust, which while it is our work, it is only from God's work of love to us first that we are permitted to trust
....and this is the Love of God - that He loved us first...To Him is ALL the Glory...
Again: The work of God is that He loved us first so that we might love and so it is only in HIS love to us that our trust and love are allowed.
This week’s portions are packed full of noteworthy things. I can’t begin to scratch the surface:
Numbers 19:12 A still, small voice.
Numbers 19:18 – There’s always a remnant of the chosen.
Numbers 26:10 – Korah & company died.
Numbers 26:11 – The sons of Korah died not.
Numbers 27:6 – God changes the Mosaic Law of Levite marriage.
Numbers 29:1-6 – Yom Teruah is not Rosh Hashanah. The 7th month is not the start of the new year.
Numbers 28 → offerings.
And Romans 11 is again a blessing.
This week we of course read all of Romans ch. 11.
In 2020, Chukat was read with Balak.
~~~~~
Beware of eating idolatrous-sacrifices and committing prostitution
come out from Babylon (Roman Catholic Church, Rev.18:4; Prov.6:24, 2Cor.6:17)
Balak, son of Zippor, King of Moab wanted Balaam, son of Beor, to curse Israel so that Balak would be able to defeat them in battle. God forbid it.
Numbers
22:2 And Balak
the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites.
3 And Moab was sore afraid of the people, because they were many: and Moab was
distressed because of the children of Israel.
4 And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now will this multitude lick up all
that is round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak
the son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time.
5 And he sent messengers unto Balaam the son of Beor, to Pethor, which is by the
River, to the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold,
there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth,
and they abide over against me.
6 Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty
for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may
drive them out of the land; for I know that he whom thou blessest is blessed,
and he whom thou cursest is cursed.
7 And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came unto Balaam, and spake unto him the words of Balak.
8 And he said unto them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as Jehovah shall speak unto me: and the princes of Moab abode with Balaam.
Numbers 22:9 And God came unto Balaam, and said, What men are these with thee?
Numbers 22:12 And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people; for they are blessed.
This portion also has the account of Balaam and his ass carrying on a conversation. The ass also had in memory a history of events. Apparently this concept of animals speaking and thinking was not shocking or surprising to Balaam.
Numbers 22:31 Then Jehovah opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of Jehovah standing in the way, with his sword drawn in his hand; and he bowed his head, and fell on his face.
32 And the angel of Jehovah said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I am come forth for an adversary [לְשָׂטָן l’satan, H7854, also @vs.22. LXX has v22-ενδιαβάλλειν G1736.1, and vs32-διαβολήν G1227.2], because thy way is perverse before me:
33 and the ass saw me, and turned aside before me these three times: unless she had turned aside from me, surely now I had even slain thee, and saved her alive.
I wonder how often we miss seeing God working in our lives.
Numbers
22:39
And Balaam went with Balak, and they came unto
Kiriath-huzoth.
40 And Balak sacrificed oxen and sheep, and sent to Balaam, and to
the princes that were with him.
41 And it came to pass in the morning, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him
up into the high places of Baal;
and he saw from thence the utmost part of the people.
This sacrifice by Balak was NOT to YHVH, but to Baal. Note that the pagan's meal was -also - the result of a sacrifice to their god.
Next, a series of sacrifices that appear to be to YHVH (?), instigated by Balaam and administered by both Balaam and Balak:
Numbers 23:1-6 ASV - 1 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams. 2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram. 3 And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt-offering, and I will go: peradventure Jehovah will come to meet me; and whatsoever he showeth me I will tell thee. And he went to a bare height. 4 And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared the seven altars, and I have offered up a bullock and a ram on every altar. 5 And Jehovah put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak. 6 And he returned unto him, and, lo, he was standing by his burnt-offering, he, and all the princes of Moab.
Result: Balaam's mouth spoke blessings upon Israel.
Numbers 23:11-17 ASV - 11 And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether. 12 And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which Jehovah putteth in my mouth? 13 And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them; thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence. 14 And he took him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered up a bullock and a ram on every altar. 15 And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt-offering, while I meet Jehovah yonder. 16 And Jehovah met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus shalt thou speak. 17 And he came to him, and, lo, he was standing by his burnt-offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath Jehovah spoken?
Result: Balaam's mouth spoke blessings upon Israel.
Numbers 23:25-30 ASV - 25 And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all. 26 But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that Jehovah speaketh, that I must do? 27 And Balak said unto Balaam, Come now, I will take thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence. 28 And Balak took Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh down upon the desert. 29 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams. 30 And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered up a bullock and a ram on every altar.
Numbers
24:1 And when Balaam
saw that it pleased Jehovah to bless Israel, he went not, as at the other times,
to meet with enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
2 And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling according to their
tribes; and the Spirit of
God came upon him.
Result: Balaam's mouth spoke blessings upon Israel.
Numbers 24:10 And Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together; and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.
Numbers 24:25 And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place; and Balak also went his way.
In the recent "Korah" portion of Torah, we read that Korah, Dathan and Abiram (Num.16:31) and the 250 men that offered incense to YHVH were killed by YHVH. However, they were under the Sinai Covenant with YHVH, and Balak and Balaam and their cohorts were not.
Israel must abide by the Sinai Covenant:
Numbers 25:1-13 ASV - 1 And Israel abode in Shittim; and the people began to play the harlot with the daughters of Moab: 2 for they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods; and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods. 3 And Israel joined himself unto Baal-peor: and the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel. 4 And Jehovah said unto Moses, Take all the chiefs of the people, and hang them up unto Jehovah before the sun, that the fierce anger of Jehovah may turn away from Israel. 5 And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that have joined themselves unto Baal-peor. 6 And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, while they were weeping at the door of the tent of meeting. 7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from the midst of the congregation, and took a spear in his hand; 8 and he went after the man of Israel into the pavilion, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her body. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel. 9 And those that died by the plague were twenty and four thousand. 10 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, in that he was jealous with my jealousy among them, so that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
“he was jealous with my jealousy” –

אֶת־קִנְאָתִי et-qinatē (H7068 קִנְאָה qin'ah)
LXX: εν-in τω-the 2206-1473 ζηλώσαί μου-my being jealous τον-the 2205 ζήλον zeal εν-in αυτοίς-them;
Cont. Numbers 25:12 Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace: 13 and it shall be unto him, and to his seed after him, the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was jealous for his God, and made atonement for the children of Israel.
God can make new covenants. God does not change, but God certainly makes changes. Here we may see YHVH's new covenant with Phinehas into an everlasting priesthood as showing that Phinehas is a type of Messiah Yeshua.
Micah 5:2-8 ASV - 2 But thou, Beth-lehem Ephrathah, which art little to be among the thousands of Judah, out of thee shall one come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting. 3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she who travaileth hath brought forth: then the residue of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. 4 And he shall stand, and shall feed his flock in the strength of Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah his God: and they shall abide; for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth. 5 And this man shall be our peace. When the Assyrian shall come into our land, and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. 6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our border. 7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many peoples as dew from Jehovah, as showers upon the grass, that tarry not for man, nor wait for the sons of men. 8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep; who, if he go through, treadeth down and teareth in pieces, and there is none to deliver.
“the remnant of Jacob” = Jews. - Jews are still dispersed throughout the nations. And Jewish Christians are prevented from going to Israel by “Orthodox” Jews.
Romans 11
v1 I-am-saying therefore, (has) the God pushed-away-from-himself his people? (No!) May-it-not-come-to-pass; for I myself also am (an) Israelite, out-of seed of-Abraham, of-(the)-tribe of-Benjamin. [“No!”- μή mē G3361 –requires a negative answer]
v2 The God (has) not pushed-away-from-himself his people whom he-came-to-know-before. Or are-YOU not knowing-absolutely what the scripture is-saying in (the history of) Elias, as he-is-interceding With-the God down-upon the Israeli?
v3 Lord, they-killed your prophets, they-demolished your altars, and-I myself-was-left-remaining alone and they-are-seeking my soul.
v4 BUT what is the divine-information saying to-him? I-have-left-behind to-myself seven-thousand men, they-who bent not knee to-the Baal.
v5 Thus therefore also in the now season (a) remnant has-come-to-pass-and-still-is of-favor according-to choice;
v6 But if by-favor, no-more out-of works, since the favor no-more is-becoming favor.
v7 What then? What Israel is-seeking-after, this it-attained not, but the choice attained; but the others were-petrified,
v8 Even-as it-has-been-and-is-still-written: The God gave to-them (a) spirit of-compunction, eyes not to-be-looking and ears not to-be-hearing, till of-the today day.
v9 And David is-saying: Let their table become into (a) snare and into (a) hunting and into (an) entrapment and into (a) repayment for-them,
v10 Let their eyes be-made-dark (so as) not to-be-looking, and you-bend-completely their back through every-(thing).
v11 I-am-saying therefore, (Have) they-slipped in-order-that they-might-fall? (No!) May-it not come-to-pass; BUT by-their offence the salvation to-the Gentiles, with-reference-to to-provoke them to-jealousy.
“jealousy” -παραζηλῶσαι G3863 -From παρά (G3844) and ζηλόω (G2206)
v12 But if their offence (is) riches of-(a)-world and their inferiority (is) riches of-nations, in-how-much more their fulness.
v13 But I-am-saying to-YOU to-the Gentiles; On as-much-as on-the-one-hand therefore I myself-am (an) apostle of-nations, I-am-glorifying my ministry,
v14 If-by-any-means I-shall-provoke-to-jealousy of-my flesh and I-might-save some out-of them.

Cont. Romans 11:15 For if the casting-off of-them (is) reconciliation of-(a)-world, what the taking-near if not life out-of dead (ones)?
v16 But if the firstfruit (is) holy, also the lump; and if the root (is) holy, also the branches.
v17 But if some of the branches were-broken-out, but you being (a) wild-olive-tree yourself-were-grafted-in among [ἐν en] them and you-became (a) fellow-partner of-the root (and?) of-the fatness of-the olive-tree,
v18 You-be not boasting-against the branches; but if you-are-boasting-against (them), you yourself-are not bearing the root BUT the root you.
v19 You-will-say therefore: Branches were-broken-out in-order-that I myself-might-be-grafted-in.
v20 Rightly: they-were-broken-out by-the distrust, but you yourself-have-stood-and-still-are-standing by-the trust. You-be not having-an-opinion-of high-things, BUT you-be-fearing-for-yourself;
v21 For if the God spared not of-the branches according-to nature, neither will-he-spare of-you.
v22 See therefore graciousness and severity of-God: on-the-one-hand on the (ones) having-fallen severity, on-the-other-hand on you graciousness of God, if you-might-continue in-the graciousness, since you yourself also will-be-chopped-away,
v23 But also-those, if they-might not continue in-the distrust, they-will-be-grafted-in; for the God is powerful to-graft them in again.
v24 For if you yourself-were-chopped-away out-of the wild-olive-tree according-to nature and from nature you-were-grafted-in [ενεκεντρισθης] into [εἰς eis] (a) cultivated-olive, by-how-much rather these, the (ones) according-to nature, will-be-grafted-in [εγκεντρισθησονται] to-their-own olive-tree.
v25 For I-am not willing (for) YOU to-be-being-ignorant brothers, (of) this mystery, in-order that YOU-might not be prudent in yourselves, that petrifaction has-come-to-pass-and-still-is from part to-the Israeli, until of-which (time) the fulness of-the Gentiles might-come-in,
v26 And thus all Israel will-be-saved, according-as it-has-been-and-still-is-written: The (one) delivering will-be-present out-of Sion, he-will-turn-back impiety from Jacob.
v27 And this (is) the covenant from me to-them, at-the-time-that I-might-remove-for-myself their sins.
v28 On-the-one-hand enemies according-to the good-news because-of YOU, on-the-other-hand cherished (ones) according-to the choice because-of the fathers;
Cont. Romans 11:29 For the bestowed-favors and the calling of-the God (are) unregrettable.
v30 For as-altogether YOU yourselves at-one-time disobeyed the God, but now YOU-had-mercy-bestowed in-the disobedience of-these.
v31 Thus these also now disobeyed in-order-that by your mercy they themselves also might now have-mercy-bestowed.
v32 For the God shut-together all the (ones) with-reference-to disobedience in-order-that he-might-have-mercy (on) all the (ones).
v33 O depth of-God's riches and wisdom and knowledge; as unsearchable his sentences and untraceable his ways.
v34 For who came-to-know (the) mind of Jehovah? Or who became his fellow-counsellor?
v35 Or who gave-before to-him, and it-will-be-repaid to-him?
v36 Because out-of him and through him and with-reference-to him (are) the all-things; to-him (be) the glory with-reference-to the ages: Amen.

I think that is correct: When Gentiles become Christians they enter into fellowship via the Body of Messiah with The People (i.e. Jewish Christians) for whom the Messianic salvation is destined.
Revelation 2:12
And to-the messenger of-the assembly in Pergamum you-write:
These-things-here the (one) having the sword, namely-the two-edged, namely-the
sharp is-saying:
v13 I-know-absolutely where you-are-residing; where-in-which (is)
the throne of-the Satan;
and you-are-retaining my name, and you-denied not my trust, also in the days
Antipas my witness

(ones) retaining the doctrine
of-Balaam, who was teaching to-the Balak to-cast (an) entrapment
in-sight of-the sons of-Israel,
to-eat idolatrous-sacrifices and
to-commit-prostitution.
v15 Thus you
yourself are-having also
(ones) retaining the doctrine of-the Nicolaitans
likewise.
v16 You-repent
therefore; but if not, I-am-coming to-you
speedily and I-shall-war with them in the sword of my mouth.
v17 The (one) having (an) ear let-him-hear what the Spirit is-saying to-the

namely-of-the (manna) having-been-and-still-hidden, and I-shall-give to-him (a)
white pebble, and on the pebble (a) new name having-been-and-still-written, and
which not-one knows-absolutely if not [except] the (one) taking (it).
Revelation 2:18
And to-the messenger of-the assembly in Thyatira you-write:
These-things-here
the son of-the God,
namely-the (one) having his eyes as (a) flame of-fire, and his feet like
to-chalcolibanus is-saying:
v19 I-know-absolutely
your works and the charity and the trust and the ministry and your perseverance,
and
your works
namely-the last much-more (than) the first.
v20 BUT I-am-holding down-upon you that you-are-letting-be
the woman Jezabel,
namely-the (one) saying herself (a) prophetess, and
she-is-teaching and she-is-leading-astray
my slaves
to-commit-prostitution and to-eat idolatrous-sacrifices;
v21 And I-gave to-her time in-order-that she-might-repent,
and
she-is not willing to-repent
out-of her prostitution.
v22 Behold I-am-casting her into a bed and
the (ones) committing-adultery with her
into great tribulation, if they-will not
repent
out-of her works;
v23 And her children I-shall-kill in death;
and
all the assemblies
will-come-to-know that I myself-am the (one) searching kidneys and hearts, and
I-shall-give to-YOU to-each (one) according-to
YOUR works.
It should be
noted that many of the "Christians" around the world that are being persecuted
right now are Roman Catholics.
The RCC exists as Satan's false "body/assembly of Christ" (A.K.A. "church" which is Mystery Babylon - see Apologetics 22-25 by R.Mount) within the Thyatira assembly period. I think it important to mentally separate the true believer in the Roman Catholic Church from the Roman Catholic Church, the latter being the seventh head of the Beast of Rev. 13 & 17. True believers are instructed by God to come out of the RCC:
Revelation 18:4 And I-heard another voice out-of the heaven saying: YOU-come-out, my people, out-of her, in-order-that YOU-might not participate-with her sins, and in-order-that YOU-might not take out-of her blows.
v5 Because her sins were-united unto the heaven, and the God had-in-memory her unrighteous-acts.
v6 YOU-give-back to-her as she also gave-back, and YOU-double the (things) double according-to her works; in the cup in-which she-mingled YOU-mingle to-her double;
The papacy (RCC) has not changed, as the pope recently reiterated RCC doctine by saying there is no salvation outside the RCC. A Lie.

Cont. Revelation 2:24 But to-YOU I-am-saying,
(namely)
to-the-others
(plural),
namely-to-the (ones) in Thyatira,
as-many-as are not holding this doctrine, they-who came not to-know
the deep (things) of-the Satan,
as they-are-saying: I-am not casting on YOU

another weight;
v25 Further which-(thing) YOU-are-holding, YOU-retain until
I-might-be-present.
v26 And the (one) (singular, so this is not “the others” and “YOU” of vs24-25) having-victory and the (one) keeping my works until (the) finish, I-shall-give to-him authority over the Gentiles,
v27 And he-will-shepherd them in (a) rod of-iron, as the vessels
namely-the (ones) of-pottery (are) being-shattered, as
I myself
also have-taken-and-still-have of my Father,
v28 And
I-shall-give
to-him the star namely-the (one) belonging-to-the-morning.
Jesus gives this one the star namely the star belonging to the morning. Is this star the Holy Spirit? Is this star Israel?
Note vs18 - Jesus is the one speaking here. Jesus gives the one having victory authority over the Gentiles. Jesus apparently gives (?) this one a rod of iron, as we know Jesus has a rod of iron (vs27).
So the shepherd in Rev.2:27 is not Jesus.
Revelation 12:5 And she-brought-forth (a) son, (a) male, who is-about to-be-shepherding all the Gentiles with (an) iron rod; and her child was-seized to the God and to his throne.
Psalm 2:6 Yet I have set my king Upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will tell of the decree: Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son; This day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
10 Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, For his wrath [c]will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that take refuge in him.
Psalm 18:1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David the servant of Jehovah, who spake unto Jehovah the words of this song in the day that Jehovah delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: and he said,
I love thee, O Jehovah, my strength.
David is speaking:
v39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
Cont. Psalm 18:40 Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me, That I might cut off them that hate me.
41 They cried, but there was none to save; Even unto Jehovah, but he answered them not.
42 Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I did cast them out as the mire of the streets.
43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; Thou hast made me the head of the nations: A people whom I have not known shall serve me.
44 As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me; The foreigners shall submit themselves unto me.
Note that Jesus knew/knows all the nations, David did/does not.
Cont. Revelation 2:29 The (one) having (an) ear let-him-hear what the Spirit is-saying to-the assemblies.
Note "assemblies" is plural. We are to listen to what God is saying to all these seven assemblies.
Acts 15:1
And some have-come-down from the Judea were-teaching the brothers that unless
YOU-were-circumcised
to-the custom of-the Moses,
YOU-are not being-able
to-be-saved.
v2 But (after) not (a) little-bit of-strife and of-debate having-come-to-pass
by-the Paul and by-the Barnabas with them, they-assigned Paul and Barnabas
to-be-ascending and some others out-of them to the apostles and elders into
Jerusalem concerning this controversy.
v3 On-the-one-hand therefore the (ones) having-been-sent-forward by the assembly
were-going through both the Phoenicia and Samaria narrating-in-detail
the turning-around of-the
Gentiles,
and they-were-making great joy for-all the brothers.
v4 But having-come-to-be-alongside into Jerusalem they-were-accepted from
the assembly and of-the apostles and of-the elders,
and-additionally they-told as-many-things-as the God did with them.

(And
that is that!)
For those that trust in Yeshua in the New Covenant relationship, food is food, thanks to God. But if someone else thinks the food has a connection to another god, then we are not to partake of it. Here is another difficult passage that goes with "this way":
1 Corinthians 10:13 Trial has not taken-and-is-still not taking YOU if not (a) human (one); but the God (is) trustworthy, who will not allow YOU to-be-tried above what YOU-are-being-able, BUT he-will-make with the trial also the outcome (for) YOU to-be-being-able to undergo (it).
v14 For-which-very-reason, my cherished (ones),
YOU-be-fleeing from the
idolatry.
v15 As to-prudent-(ones) I-am-saying; YOU yourselves judge what I-am-stating.
v16
The cup of-the blessing which we-are-blessing, is-it NOT participation of-the
blood of-the Messiah? The bread which we-are-breaking-in-pieces, is-it NOT
participation of-the body of-the Messiah?
v17
Because we, the many, are one bread, one body; for we all are-sharing out-of
the one bread.
v18 YOU-be-looking-at
the Israeli according-to flesh;
are not the (ones) eating the sacrifices partners of-the altar?
Be merciful towards their limitations (see Romans 11:31 & Parashat Phinehas):
Hebrews 13:10 "We-are-having (an) altar out-of which the (ones) serving to-the tabernacle are not having authority to-eat."
v19 What therefore am-I-stating? That (an)-idolatrous-sacrifice is something? or
that (an) idol is something?
v20 BUT that
what (things) the Gentiles are sacrificing, they-are-sacrificing to-demons
and not to-God, but I-am not willing
YOU
to-be-becoming partners of-the
demons.
v21
YOU-are not being-able to-be-drinking (a) cup of-Jehovah
and
(a) cup of-demons;
YOU-are not being-able to-be-sharing of-a-table of-Jehovah
and of-a-table
of-demons.
v22 Or are-we-provoking the Lord to-jealousy?
Are-we stronger (ones) (than) he?
v23
All-things are-legitimate, BUT not all-things are-being-advantageous; all-things
are-legitimate, BUT not all-things are-building-up.
v24 Let no-one be-seeking the (thing) of-himself BUT each (one) the (thing)
of-the different (one).
v25 Everything being-offered-for-sale in (a) meat-market YOU-be-eating,
examining not-one-thing because-of the conscience;
Cont. 1Corinthians 10:26 For of-the Lord (is)
the earth and the fulness of-it.
v27 If someone of-the unbelieving (ones)
is-calling YOU and YOU-are-willing to-be-proceeding, YOU-be-eating every thing
being-placed-beside YOU, examining not-one-thing because-of the conscience.
v28 But if someone
might-say to-YOU; This is (an)
idolatrous-sacrifice, YOU-be not eating
because-of that (one), the (one)
having-disclosed (it) and the conscience;
v29 But I-am-saying conscience
NOT the (one) of-himself
BUT the (one) of-the different (one).
For to-what-end is my
freedom being-judged by
another conscience?
v30 If I myself
am-sharing in-favor, why am-I-being-blasphemed
in-behalf-of what I myself-am-giving-thanks?
v31 Whether therefore
YOU-are-eating or YOU-are-drinking or anything YOU-are-doing, YOU-be-doing
all-things with-reference-to (the) glory of-God.
v32 YOU-be-becoming (ones) not-causing-to-stumble even
to-Jews and
to-Greeks and
to-the assembly of-the God,
v33 According-as I-also (in) all-things am-pleasing all, not seeking the (thing)
advantageous of-myself BUT the (thing) of-the many, in-order-that
they-might-be-saved.

v1 YOU-be-becoming
imitators of-me, according-as I-also of-Messiah.

Hebrew
9:11
But Messiah having-come-to-be-alongside chief-priest of-the future good-things,
through the greater and more-perfect tabernacle not made-by-hand, this
is not of-this creation,
v12 Nor through blood of-he-goats and of-calves, but through (his) own blood
he-went-in all-at-once into the holy-places, having-found eternal redemption.
v13 For if the blood of-he-goats and of-bulls and ashes of-a-heifer sprinkling
the (ones) having-been-and-still-defiled is-making-holy to the cleanness of-the
flesh,
v14 By-how-much more will the blood of-the Messiah, who through (the) eternal
Spirit offered Himself unblemished to-the God, cleanse your conscience from dead
works with-reference-to-be-serving (the) living God?
v15 And because-of this he-is
mediator of-a-new-quality covenant,
in-which-case a-death (is) having-come-to-pass with-reference-to
redemption-back of-the transgressions on
the first covenant,
the (ones) having-been-and-still-being-called might take the promise of-the
eternal inheritance.
v16 For where-in-which (there-is-a) covenant, (it-is) (a) necessity (a) death
to-be-being-brought from-the (one) having-himself-covenanted;
v17 For (a) covenant on deads (is) firm, since it-is (not) at-any-time
being-strong when the (one) having-himself-covenanted is-living.
v18 Whence neither has
the first (covenant)
been-and-still-is-dedicated separate-from blood.
v19 For of-every commandment having-been-spoken according-to
the law by Moses
to-all the people, having-taken the blood of-the calves and of-the he-goats with
water and scarlet wool and hyssop, he-sprinkled both
the little-book itself
and all the people,
v20 Saying: This (is) the blood of-the covenant which the God commanded to YOU.
v21 He also sprinkled the tabernacle but even all the vessels of-the
public-ministry likewise with-the blood.
v22 And according-to
the law
nearly all-things (are) being-cleansed in blood,
and separate-from shedding-of-blood forgiveness is not coming-to-pass.
*
v23 On-the-one-hand therefore (a) necessity the copies of-the (things) in the
heavens to-be-being-cleansed with-these, on-the-other-hand the (things)
themselves in-(the)-heavenlies with-better sacrifices beside these.
v24 For the Messiah went not in into
holy (places) made-by-hands,
patterns-in-turn
of-the
authentic (things),
BUT into the heaven itself, now to-be-revealed to-the face of-the God
in-behalf-of us;
v25 But-not in-order-that he-might-be-offering himself often, as-altogether the
chief-priest is-going-in into the holy (places) according-to (each) year in
blood belonging-to-another,
v26 Since it-was-essential he suffer often from casting-down of (the) world; but
at-this-instant, once he-has-been-and-still-is-manifested upon complete-finish
of-the ages with-reference-to (a) disregarding of-the sin through his sacrifice.
v27 And according-to as-much-as it-is-being-laid-away for-the MEN once
to-die-off but after this, (a) judgement,
v28 Thus also the Messiah, once having-been-offered with-reference-to
bring(ing)-up sins of-many, out-of (a) second (time) he-will-be-seen
separate-from sin by-the (ones) waiting-anxiously (for) him with-reference-to
salvation.
* It seems to me that we should not mistake the Torah for the Word of God, whom was, of course, fully operational alongside the Torah (“The word of Jehovah came...” Ezk. 37:15; Zech. 4:8; Jer.2:1). Yeshua, in the form of The Word, gave Moses the Torah (instructions) for the Sinai Covenant. Along with this thinking, I often see the superiority of The Word in operation in the scriptures. As we read and re-read the Bible, I am often seeing/hearing the scriptures testify that the Living Word is what gives the Good News/Gospel its primacy. That the testimony of the scriptures provides a “guideline” (parameters) for knowing what to look for in regards to the Living Word is important. So while the Torah (part of the scriptures) guides us -for now- to the Living Word, we may understand in that sense that the Torah is subservient to the Word of God. I don’t want to talk in circles here, but I don’t want to be high-minded. There was/is a Glory to the Old Covenant, although alongside the New Covenant it pales to a spiritual darkness. A friend, now with the Lord, once wrote that the Law of the New Covenant is the Spirit. So in that thinking, I can see how perhaps the Law of the Old Covenant, i.e. the Torah, might need a “cleansing” in the Light of the New Covenant Law, i.e. the Spirit of YHVH. My thinking is that we should be careful here, but not stagnant. My thinking is that I’m mostly stagnant in my thinking. Onward from that which I cannot wrap my head around: What a Wonder is our Savior, Messiah Yeshua!
The Red Heifer
Numbers 19:1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
2 This is the statute of the law which Jehovah hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke.
3 And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, and he shall bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:
vs 2 "statute" - from the Hebrew word חֻקַּת chukat or chuqqat (variances in the way the koof (קַּ) is transliterated), which is derived from חֻקָּה chuqqah (Strong's H2708).
"the law" is from הַתֹּורָה hatorah, which is the form “the Torah” (הַ ha) תּוֹרָה towrah).
As shown elsewhere on this page, a statute - chukat - is a decree that doesn't make sense to man. God said do it, so the Jews were to obey.
The red heifer is sacrificed outside the camp - outside the temple - and was without spot or blemish. Note also the red heifer was never under the yoke.
Numbers 19:6 and the priest shall take cedar-wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
The red heifer is burned along with cedar, hyssop and scarlet.
The ashes were mixed with water and sprinkled on a person that was unclean by reason of contact with a dead person - or even a bone of a man. Interestingly, those that came in contact with the red heifer at any time in this process were deemed unclean. Yet the thing that made them unclean was used to clean those that had become unclean (vs 7-13). And so, "and God said" (chukat!), and so they obeyed.
This statute also affected the stranger (גָּר ger) that sojourned with Israel (vs 10).
The Red Heifer is a type/shadow of Jesus Christ:
Hebrews 13:12 "On-this-account Jesus also, in-order-that he-might-make-holy the people through his-own blood, he-suffered without the gate."
To read about how the red heifer was a type (shadow) of Jesus, read the following article by John Parsons:

Num 20:1-13 ASV - 1 And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there. 2 And there was no water for the congregation: and they assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron. 3 And the people strove with Moses, and spake, saying, Would that we had died when our brethren died before Jehovah!
4 And why have ye brought the assembly of Jehovah into this wilderness, that we should die there, we and our beasts? 5 And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink. 6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tent of meeting, and fell upon their faces: and the glory of Jehovah appeared unto them. 7 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 8 Take the rod, and assemble the congregation, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes, that it give forth its water; and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock; so thou shalt give the congregation and their cattle drink. 9 And Moses took the rod from before Jehovah, as he commanded him. 10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; shall we bring you forth water out of this rock? 11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and smote the rock with his rod twice: and water came forth abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their cattle. 12 And Jehovah said unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed not in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them. 13 These are the waters of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with Jehovah, and he was sanctified in them.
That Rock was Messiah (1Cor.10:4). Moses was told to speak to the Rock, yet he spoke against the Rock ("shall we bring...") and struck the rock twice. For this, Moses and Aaron were not allowed into the promised land. Moses was eventually allowed into the land, as he was seen on the Mount of Transformation with Elijah. So then Elijah has come...
Matthew 17:1
And after six days the Jesus is-taking-along-with-himself the Peter and James
and John his brother, and he-is-bringing them up into (a) high mountain
privately.
v2 And he-was-transformed in-front
of-them, and his face shown as the sun, but his garments-(himation) became
white as the light;
v3 And behold, Moses and Elijah were-seen
by-them speaking-together with him.
v4 But the Peter having-answered said to-the Jesus, Lord, it-is fine (for) us
to-be here. If you-are-willing let-us-make here three booths; one for-you, and
one for-Moses, and one for-Elijah.
v5 Yet (as) he (was) speaking, behold, (a) cloud full-of-light overshadowed
them: and behold, (a) voice out-of the cloud, saying,
This is my son,
namely-the-(one) cherished, with whom I-thought-well:
YOU-be-hearing of-him.
Shema Israel: Yeshua (salvation).
Moses (Sinai law)
and
Elijah (the Prophets)
are removed out of sight...at least for now...
v6 And the disciples having-heard fell upon their face, and they-feared
extremely.
v7 And
the Jesus
having-come-near he-handled of-them, and said, YOU-be-raised, and YOU-be not
fearing.
v8 But having-elevated their eyes
they-saw no one unless the Jesus alone.
v9 And (as) they (were) descending from the mountain the Jesus commanded
to-them, saying, Might-YOU-say to-no-one the vision, till of-which the son
of-the MAN might-stand-again out-of dead-(ones).
v10 And his disciples questioned him, saying, Why therefore are the scribes
saying that it-is-essential (for) Elijah to-come first?
v11 But
the Jesus
having-answered said to-them, On-the-one-hand Elijah is-coming first and
he-will-restore all-(things).
v12 On-the-other-hand I-am-saying to-YOU that Elijah already came,
and they-came not-to-know him-thoroughly, BUT they-did with him
as-many-(things)-as they-willed. Thus also the son of-the MAN is-being-about
to-be-suffering by them.
v13 Then the disciples perceived that he-said to-them concerning John the
Baptist.
"Elijah
is-coming first and he-will-restore all-(things)" - This hasn't
happened yet, but it will. When Elijah restores all things, then IF
he restores a Tabernacle or Temple service - that will be ok for those
Jews that need those things.
Numbers
21:5 And
the people
spake against God,
and against
Moses,
Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there
is no bread, and there is no water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
6 And Jehovah sent fiery serpents among the
people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
7 And the people came to Moses, and said, We
have sinned, because we have spoken against Jehovah, and against thee;
pray unto Jehovah, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses
prayed for the people.
:8 And Jehovah said unto Moses,
Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a standard: and it shall come to
pass, that every one that is bitten, when he seeth it, shall live.
9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and set it upon the standard: and it came
to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked unto the serpent
of brass, he lived.

Corinthians 10:1
For I-am not being-willing (for) YOU to-be-being ignorant, brothers, that our
fathers were all under the cloud and all went-through the sea,
v2 And they all baptized-themselves with-reference-to the Moses in the cloud and
in the sea,
v3 And they all ate the same spiritual food,
v4 And they all drank the same spiritual drink;
for they-were-drinking out-of (a) spiritual rock following,
but
the rock was the Messiah.
v5 BUT with the many-more of-them the God thought not well; for
they-were-spread-down in the wilderness.
v6 But these-things became our patterns,
with-reference-to us, not to-be desirers of-bad-things, according-as also-those
desired.
v7 Neither YOU-be-becoming idolaters, according-as some of-them; as
it-has-been-and-is-still-written: The people caused-to-be-seated to-eat and
to-drink, also stood-again to-be-playing.
v8 Nor let-us-be-committing-prostitution, according-as some of-them
committed-prostitution and they-fell, in-one day, twenty three thousands.
v9 Nor let-us-be-tempting the Messiah,
according-as some of-them tried, and destroyed-themselves by the serpents.
v10 Nor be-YOU-murmuring, even-as some of-them murmured, and
they-destroyed-themselves by the decimator.
v11 But
all these-things, (as) patterns,
were happening to-those,
but it-was-written toward admonition of-us,
with-reference-to
whom the finishes of-the ages has-arrived.
v12 So-that let the (one) seeming to-have-stood-and-still-be-standing be-looking
(that) he-might not fall.
v13 Trial has not taken-and-is-still not taking YOU if not (a) human (one); but
the God (is) trustworthy, who will not allow YOU to-be-tried above what
YOU-are-being-able, BUT he-will-make with the trial also the outcome (for) YOU
to-be-being-able to undergo (it).
v14 For-which-very-reason, my cherished (ones), YOU-be-fleeing from the
idolatry.
v15 As to-prudent-(ones) I-am-saying; YOU yourselves judge what I-am-stating.
John 3:1
But there-was (a) MAN out-of the Pharisees, (his) name Nicodemus, (a) ruler
of-the Jews;
v2 This (one) came to the Jesus of-night, and said to-him, Rabbi,
we-are-knowing-absolutely that you-have-come-and-still-are (a) teacher from God,
for no-one is-being-able to-be-doing these signs which you yourself-are-doing
unless the God might-be with him.
v3 The Jesus answered and said to-him, Amen amen I-am-saying to-you, Unless
someone might-be-begotten
from-above,
he-is not being-able to-see
the kingdom of-the God.
v4 The Nicodemus is-saying to-him, How is (a) MAN being-able to-be-born being
(an) aged-man? Is-he-being-able to-go-in (a) second (time) into the belly of-his
mother and to-be-born?
v5 The Jesus answered, Amen amen I-am-saying to-you,
Unless someone might-be-born out-of water and Spirit he-is not being-able
to-go-in into the kingdom of-the God.
So would this be a physical water? No, but rather the water of separation from the "ashes" of the "red heifer" (Jesus). (?)
Numbers 19:16
And whosoever in the open field toucheth one that is slain with a sword, or a
dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
17 And for the unclean they shall take of
the ashes of the burning of the sin-offering; and running water shall be put
thereto in a vessel:
18 and a clean person shall take hyssop, and
dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels,
and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched the
bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave:
19 and the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day,
and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day
he shall purify him; and he shall wash his
clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.
20
But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall
be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he hath defiled the sanctuary
of Jehovah: the water for impurity hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is
unclean.
21 And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them: and he that sprinkleth the
water for impurity shall wash his clothes, and he that toucheth the water for
impurity shall be unclean until even.
Remember, these things were patterns and shadows for our instruction...
Psalm51
vs1For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David; when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: According to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
vs2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.
New Testament/Covenant believers *:
*Are "sprinkled with clean water"
As outlined in Parashat Shoftim, Jesus baptizes (sprinkles) believers in the clean water and blood that comes out of Him via the Holy Spirit. Remember that when he was crucified he shed BOTH blood and water...
John 19:34 BUT one of-the soldiers with-a-spear stabbed his side, and directly came-out blood and water.
Isaiah 52:15 so shall he sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they understand.
Hebrews 10:22 Let-us-be-going-to (God) with (an) authentic heart in certainty of-trust, (having) the hearts having-been-sprinkled-and-still-sprinkled from (an) evil conscience and (having) the body having-been-and-still-bathed with-clean water;
Israel will also be sprinkled with clean water, at the compete finish of the age, when all of Jeremiah 31 and Hebrews 8 are completely fulfilled:
Ezekiel 36:23
And
I will sanctify my great name,
which hath been profaned among
the nations,
which
ye
have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am
Jehovah, saith the Lord Jehovah, when I
shall be sanctified in
you
before their eyes.
24 For I will take
you
from among
the nations,
and gather
you
out of all
the countries,
and will bring
you
into
your own land.
25 And
I will sprinkle clean water upon
you,
and ye shall be clean:
from all
your
filthiness, and from all
your
idols, will I cleanse
you.
26
A new heart
also will I give
you,
and
a new spirit
will I put within
you;
and I will take away
the stony heart
out of
your flesh,
and I will give
you
a heart of
flesh.
27 And I will put my Spirit within
you,
and cause
you
to walk in
my statutes,
and
ye
shall keep
mine ordinances,
and do them.
28 And
ye
shall dwell in
the land
that I gave to
your
fathers; and
ye
shall be
my people,
and I will be
your
God.
And so all Israel shall be saved.
Romans 11:26
And thus
all Israel will-be-saved,
according-as it-has-been-and-still-is-written:
The (one) delivering will-be-present
out-of Sion,
he-will-turn-back
impiety from
Jacob.
(c.f. Isa.59.19-21)
v27 And
this (is) the covenant from me to-them,
at-the-time-that I-might-remove-for-myself
their
sins.
v28 On-the-one-hand
enemies
according-to
the good-news
because-of
YOU,
on-the-other-hand
cherished (ones)
according-to the choice
because-of
the fathers;
v29 For
the bestowed-favors
and
the calling
of-the God (are) unregrettable.
v30 For as-altogether
YOU yourselves
at-one-time
disobeyed
the God, but now
YOU-had-mercy-bestowed
in-the
disobedience
of-these.
v31 Thus
these
also now
disobeyed
in-order-that by
your
mercy
they themselves
also might now
have-mercy-bestowed.
v32 For the God shut-together all the (ones) with-reference-to
disobedience
in-order-that he-might-have-mercy
(on) all the (ones).
v33 O depth of-God's riches and wisdom and knowledge; as unsearchable his
sentences and untraceable his ways.
v34 For who came-to-know (the) mind of Jehovah? Or who became his
fellow-counselor?
v35 Or who gave-before to-him, and it-will-be-repaid to-him?
v36 Because out-of him and through him and with-reference-to him (are)
the all-things; to-him (be) the glory with-reference-to the ages:
Amen.
Cont. John 3:6 The
(thing) having-been-born out-of the flesh is flesh;
and the (thing)
having-been-born out-of the Spirit is spirit.
Romans 8:2
"For the law of-the spirit of-the life in Messiah Jesus
made me free from
the law of the sin and of-the death."
John 3:7
Might-you not marvel that I-said to-you,
It-is-essential you to-be-born
from-above.
v8 The Spirit is-blowing where-in-which he-is-willing, and
his voice you-are-hearing,
BUT you-are not knowing-absolutely from-whence
he-is-coming
and where
he-is-withdrawing:
thus is every-(one) the (one) having-been-born out-of the Spirit.
v9 Nicodemus answered and said to-him, How (are) these-(things) being-able
to-come-to-pass?
v10 The Jesus answered and said to-him, You yourself-are the teacher of-the
Israeli, and are-you not coming-to-know these-(things)?
v11 Amen, amen I-am-saying to-you, That what we-are-knowing-absolutely
we-are-speaking, and what we-have-seen-and-still-see we-are-bearing-witness; and
YOU-are not taking our witness.
v12 If I-said the earthly-(things) to-YOU, and YOU-are not trusting, how if
I-might-say to-YOU the-(things) in-the-heavenlies will-YOU-trust?
v13 And not-one has-ascended-and-is-still-ascended into the heaven unless the
(one) having-descended out-of the heaven, the son of-the MAN the (one) being in
the heaven.
v14
And
according-as Moses raised-to-a-height the serpent in the wilderness,
thus it-is-essential the son of-the MAN to-be-raised-to-a-height,
v15
In-order-that every-(one) the (one) trusting with-reference-to him might
not perish, BUT he-might-be-having life eternal.
Tell me again about his love
v16 For thus the God cherished the world so-that he-gave his son, namely-the only-begotten, in-order-that every-(one) the (one) trusting with-reference-to him might not perish, BUT he-might-be-having life eternal.
v17
For the God dispatched not his son into the world in-order-that
he-might-be-judging the world, BUT in-order-that the world might-be-saved
through him.
v18
The (one) trusting
with-reference-to him is not being-judged;
but the (one) not trusting already has-been-and-is-still-judged, because he-has
not trusted and still-does-(not)-trust with-reference-to the name of-the
only-begotten son of-the God.
v19 But this is the judgement, that
the light has-come-and-is-still into the world,
and the MEN cherished the darkness rather than the light; for the works of-them
(were) evil.
v20 For every-(one) practising the worthless-(things) is-hating
the light,
and he-is not coming to the light, in-order-that his works might not
be-reproved;
v21
But the (one) doing the truth is-coming to the light, in-order-that his
works might-be-manifested that (they-are) having-been-worked in God.
John 6:29 The Jesus answered and said to-them, This is the work of-the God, in-order-that you-might-trust with-reference-to whom that (one) dispatched.
Yes, our trust in Jesus is the work of God (Jn.6:29), trust comes through hearing and hearing through the saying of God/Messiah (Jn.10:30; Rom.10:17), so we study to show ourselves approved unto God (2 Tim.2:15). Yes, and yet we don't get high-minded, but understand - and trust -that God will do as he has said. Another way of looking at this is to understand that even our trust is the work of God, that is, God's work is manifest in our trust. Even our trust isn't really our own work...God deserves all the credit.
John 3:22
After these-(things)
the Jesus
came
and his disciples into the land (of) Judea; and he-was-staying there with them
and he-was-baptizing.
v23 But John was also
baptizing
in Aenon near the Salim, because many waters (were) there; and
they-were-coming-to-be-alongside and they-were-being-baptized.
v24 For the John was not-yet having-been-cast into the guard-house.
v25 Therefore (a) debate came-to-be out-of the
disciples of-John with
Jews
concerning cleansing.
v26 And they-came to the John and said to-him, Rabbi, (one)-who was with you
across the Jordan, to-whom you
yourself-have-borne-witness-and-still-bear-witness, note this (one)
is-baptizing, and all are-coming to him.
v27 John answered and said, (A) MAN is
not being-able to-be-taking not-one-(thing) unless it-might-be having-been-given
to-him out-of the heaven.
v28 YOU yourselves are-yourselves-bearing-witness to-me that I-said,
I myself-am not the Messiah, BUT
that I-am having-been-dispatched in-front of-that (one).
A
very important verse to understand:
v29
The (one) having
the bride
is
bridegroom;
but
the friend of-the bridegroom,
the (one) having-stood-and-still-standing and hearing of-him,
he-is-rejoicing with-joy because-of the voice of-the bridegroom,
this therefore the joy namely-mine is-having-been-and-is-still fulfilled.
Therefore understand that the "friend of-the bridegroom" is not the bride.

v32 And what he-has-seen-and-still-sees and he-heard this
he-is-bearing-witness-(of); and no-one is-taking his witness.
v33 The (one) having-taken of-him the witness he-sealed that the God is true.
v34 For whom the God dispatched is-speaking

v36
The (one) trusting with-reference-to the son is-having life eternal;

disobeying
to-the son will not see life, BUT the wrath of-the God is-remaining on him.

is-making-holy to the cleanness of-the flesh,
v14 By-how-much more will
the blood of-the Messiah,
who through (the) eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to-the God, cleanse
your conscience from dead works with-reference-to-be-serving (the) living God?
v15 And because-of this
he-is mediator of-a-new-quality covenant,

of-the

on
the first covenant,
the (ones) having-been-and-still-being-called
might
take the promise of-the eternal inheritance.
Note: some clarification added for "redemption-back" vs. "redeemed", in that Gentile Christians were never under the Mosaic law, and thus would not be "redeemed" from transgressions on the Mosaic law. However, Gentile Christians are redeemed by the same Just Act of Jesus:
1Corinthians 1:30 But out-of him YOU yourselves-are in Messiah Jesus, who became wisdom to-us from God, both righteousness and holiness and redemption-back.
IN this we see that it was certainly possible for Gentles, who were "outside" the law, to sin. This agrees with scripture, which says that knowledge of God (and thus right and wrong) have always been available to all mankind:
Romans 1:16

of-God is-being-uncovered on all impiety and unrighteousness of-MEN, the (ones)
holding-fast the truth in unrighteousness,
v19 For-the-reason-that the-thing known of-the God is manifest among them;

v20 For the invisible-things of-him from
creation of (a) world being-understood by-the things-made

"Redemption-back" may primarily refer to THE redemption-back of Israel to their status at Mt. Sinai before the sin of the golden calf.

Yeshua (Jesus) has fulfilled the reality of what the Red Heifer shadow sacrifice represented. Christians do not require a red heifer to be purified or to purify the sanctuary or temple. Christians do not need a third temple:
Romans 7:1 Or are-YOU-being-ignorant, brothers, for I-am-speaking to-(ones)-coming-to-know law, that the law is-exercising-lordship of-the MAN on as-long time as he-is-living?
v2 For the woman under-a-husband has-been-and-is-still-bound by-law to-the living husband; but if the husband might-die-off, she-has-been-and-is still-rendered-inactive from the law of-the husband.
v3 So therefore, while the husband (is) living, she-will-be-termed (an) adulteress if she-might-become to-(a)-different man; but if the husband might-die-off, she-is free from the law, she (will) not be (an) adulteress having-become to-(a)-different man.
v4 So-that, my brothers, YOU yourselves also were-put-to-death to-the law through the body of-the Messiah, with-reference-to YOU to-become to-(a)-different (one), to-the (one) having-been-raised out-of dead (ones), in-order-that we-might-bring-forth-fruit to-the God.
v5 For when we-were in the flesh, the sufferings of-the sins the (sufferings) through the law were-operating in our members with-reference-to the (object) to-bring-forth-fruit to-the death;

Parashat Korach - קֹרַח
"Korah"
Torah portion:
Numbers 16:1 - 18:32
Haftarah portion:
1 Samuel 11:14 - 12:24
Brit Chadashah/New Testament portion:
Romans 13:1-7
We often read surrounding N.T. scripture because it is such a blessing to do so.
After God's sudden judgment on Korah, Dathan and Abiram (Num.16:31), the 250 men that offered incense (Num. 16:35) and the congregation of Israel (by plague Num.16:47), the remaining congregation of Israel were "all undone" concerning drawing near to the Tabernacle of Jehovah. Jehovah then dictates that indeed only Aaron's house would minister in the Tabernacle, and that the Levites would minister to Aaron's house. What a contrast to the relationship with YHVH that he provides us in his New Covenant! Compare the New Covenant HOPE in Jesus! Now the sanctuary of the God is in (among) the believers (1Cor.3:16). That veil was rent (Matt.27:51). NOW New Testament believers have access to the Holy of Holies (Heb.10:19-20). NOW we are priests in God's kingdom (Rev1:6). Praise Yah!
Revelation 1:6 "And he-made us (a) kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to-him the glory and the might with-reference-to the ages of-the ages: Amen."
And this can be read/understood as "he made us kingdom priests" also, as the Greek text does not have punctuation (e.g. commas) or an indefinite article “a”. This is the Melchi-zedek priesthood (Heb. ch7&8).
And that is The Big Kehunnah.
Yet these things that occurred to Israel under the Old Covenant & Law are patterns for our learning, so we don't get high-minded of our state of grace as opposed to many current Jew's bondage to the Mosaic law. They will (future) have more fullness than us. Perhaps a "pattern" to keep in mind is Korah's high-mindedness. Gentile Christians should accept their "place" among the trusting remnant of Israel with hopeful joy...Romans ch.11.
Numbers
17:12
And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we perish, we
are undone, we are all undone.
13 Every one that cometh near, that cometh near unto the tabernacle of Jehovah,
dieth: shall we perish all of us?
Numbers 18:1
And Jehovah said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy fathers' house with
thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary; and thou and thy sons with thee
shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.
Note: The English word "priesthood" translates the Hebrew word כְּהֻנָּה kĕhunnah (Strongs H3550).
2 And thy brethren also, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring
thou near with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee:
but thou and thy sons with thee shall be before the tent of the testimony.
3 And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the Tent: only they
shall not come nigh unto the vessels of the sanctuary and unto the altar, that
they die not, neither they, nor ye.
4 And they shall be joined unto thee, and keep the charge of the tent of
meeting, for all the service of the Tent: and a stranger shall not
come nigh unto you.
5 And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar;
that there be wrath no more upon the children of Israel.
6 And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children
of Israel: to you they are a gift, given unto Jehovah, to do the service of the
tent of meeting.
7 And thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priesthood for everything of
the altar, and for that within the veil; and ye shall serve: I give you the
priesthood as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh
shall be put to death.
Note "stranger" in 18:4&7 is the same Hebrew word as in Nu.16:40; זוּר tzur, (Strongs H2114). While it can have the meaning of "stranger" as in of another nation, verse 40 shows that these "strangers" were members of the tribes of Israel including those of the tribe of Levi that were not of the seed of Aaron:
Numbers
16:35
And fire came forth from Jehovah, and devoured the two hundred and fifty men
that offered the incense.
36 And Jehovah spake unto Moses,
saying,
37 Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers
out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are holy,
38 even the censers of these sinners against their own lives; and let them be
made beaten plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before
Jehovah; therefore they are holy; and they shall be a sign unto the children of
Israel.
39 And Eleazar the priest took the brazen censers, which they that were burnt
had offered; and they beat them out for a covering of the altar,
40 to be a memorial unto the children of Israel, to the end that
no stranger, that is not of the
seed of Aaron, come near to burn incense before Jehovah; that he be not
as Korah, and as his company: as Jehovah
spake unto him by Moses.
Korah then, was a
stranger to God.
Note that while Moses is NOT of the seed of Aaron, he IS still allowed in the
presence of YHVH, and in fact YHVH speaks directly to Moses. Moses prophesied
that Jesus would be a prophet like him (like Moses - Deut.18:15). Through the
rent veil - Jesus' flesh - those trusting in him have access to the holy of
holies not made by hands (Matt. 27:51; Heb. 9:11,24; Heb.10:19-20). This occurs
“outside” the Levitical service and/or Aaronic priesthood (Heb.5:6).
This priesthood "after the order of Melchizedek", with Jesus as our High Priest (Heb.7:11-17), really is the Big Kehunna...
Romans 13:1 Let every soul be-subjecting-himself to-superior authorities. For there-is not authority unless from God, but the authorities being, are having-been-and-still-are-assigned by the God.
"the authorities" - - the present authorities in Rome.
v2 So-that the (one) arraying-himself-against the authority has-withstood-and-still-is-withstanding to-the order of-the God; but the (ones) having-withstood-and-still-withstanding will-take (a) sentence to-themselves.
Note the perfect tenses.
v3 For the rulers are not (a) fear to-the good work BUT to-the bad. But are-you-willing to-be not fearing the authority? You-be-doing the good-thing and you-will-have laudation out-of it;
Note: "the authority" is singular. Satan's authority was unified under Rome, the 6th world power.
v4 For he-is (a) minister of-God to-you with-reference-to the good-(thing). But if you-might-be-doing the bad-(thing), of-fear; for he-is not wearing the dagger at-random; for he-is (a) minister of-God, (an) avenger with-reference-to wrath to-the (one) practising the bad-(thing).
"He" = Caesar, who wore the dagger. This was before Rome's persecution of Christians. Note in Acts 25:8-12 that Paul preferred to be judged by the Romans - and called upon Caesar to hear his case: Paul was afraid of the Jews! - At this time the Roman government was - not perfect or Godly - but more honest than the Sanhedrin!
v5 On-this-account (it-is-a) necessity to-be-subjecting oneself, not only because-of the wrath BUT also because-of the conscience.
v6 For because-of this YOU-are also finishing tributes; for they-are public-ministers of-God enduring-steadfastly with-reference-to this-thing itself.
v7 YOU-give-back the obligations to-all, to-the (one) (owed) the tribute (give) the tribute, to-the (one) (owed) the tax (give) the tax, to-the (one) (owed) the fear (give) the fear, to-the (one) (owed) the honor (give) the honor.
"YOU", plural; the people Paul was writing to.
v8 YOU-be being-indebted to-no-one (for) not-one-thing, unless to-be-cherishing one-another; for the (one) cherishing the different (one) has-and-is-still-fulfilling law.
v9 For the, you-shall not commit-adultery, you-shall not murder, you-shall not steal, you-shall not bear-false-witness, you-shall not desire, and if any different commandment, it-is-being-summed-up in this the word, in the (word) you-shall-cherish your neighbor as yourself.
"you-shall not commit-adultery" - remember, as this is to Roman Christians, it is speaking primarily of spiritual adultery (Romans 7:1-6. Remember how Jesus changed these commandments; "no murder" to "no anger", etc., and Paul (Holy Spirit) is confirming the Word of Jesus here with ", it-is-being-summed-up in this the word, in the (word) you-shall-cherish your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 5:21-22; Mark 12:29, 30; 1John 3:22-23).
v10 The charity is not working bad for-the neighbor; therefore the charity (is) fulness of-law.
v11 And (do) this, knowing-absolutely the season, that (an) hour (is) already, (for) us to-be-raised out-of slumber: for now our salvation (is) nearer than when we-trusted.
v12 The night progressed, but the day has-drawn-near-and-is-still-near. Therefore let-us-place-off-for-ourselves the works of-the darkness, but let-us-clothe-ourselves-in the weapons of-the light.
v13 As in day let-us-walk-around decently, not in revels and drunkennesses, not in-conjugal-beds and wantonnesses, not in-quarrel(ing) and jealousy;
v14 BUT YOU-clothe-yourselves-in the Lord Jesus Messiah, and YOU-be not making-for-yourselves provision of-the flesh with-reference-to desires.
This was written to Romans in Rome. Note the perfect tenses. Remember Satan's authority over the inhabited-earth (see Babylon and or Apologetics 23 Satan goes Underground by R.H. Mount).
Luke 2:1 "But it-came-to-pass in those days (a) decree went-out from Caesar Augustus, all the inhabited-earth to-be-being-registered;"
"Inhabited-earth" is from the Greek word οἰκουμένην, a form of oikoumenē (pronunciation: oi-kü-me'-nā) , (Strong's G3625).. Theological Dictionary of the New Testament, Vol.5, p.159: "There is within the NT no disputing of the political οἰκουμένην understanding of the Roman Empire, not even in Rev."

"I conclude this passage applies to Rome, power #6, and is not a general instruction."
It would not make sense to be told on the one hand to come out from Babylon (Roman Catholic Church, (Rev.18:4; Prov.6:24, 2Cor.6:17), and on the other hand to call Hitler a minister of God. So we use some God-given common sense here. Then, as now, we should pay our taxes or we face civil penalties. Yes, much general instruction may be gleaned from Rom.13 by the entire assembly (body of Messiah); however, it was written to Roman Christians.
(Aside: Remember! In the USA, We the People rule constitutionally…although it is headed towards mob rule But really, this fits within the Laodicea church period...Laodicea has the meanings "people's opinions", "people's rights", or "people's judgment." See Apologetics 25,pp 16).
Romans 1:1 Paul (a) slave of-Messiah Jesus, (a) called apostle having-been-and-still-severed with-reference-to good-news of-God.
v2 Which [good-news] he-promised-before through his prophets in (the) holy scriptures
v3 Concerning his son namely-the (one) having-become out-of seed of-David according-to flesh,
v4 Namely-the (one) having-been-appointed Son of-God in power according-to spirit of-holy-quality out-of (a) resurrection of-dead-ones, Jesus Messiah our Lord.
v5 Through whom we-took favor and apostleship with-reference-to obedience of-trust among all the Gentiles in-behalf-of his name,
v6 Among whom YOU yourselves are also called (ones) of-Jesus Messiah.
1:7 To-all the cherished of-God being in Rome, called holy (ones); favor to-YOU and peace from God our Father and Jehovah Jesus Messiah.
v8 First on-the-one-hand I-am-giving-thanks to my God through Jesus Messiah concerning YOU all, because YOUR trust is-being-proclaimed in the total world.
Note that the trust of the Romans in Rome, which was in the inhabited earth (oikoumenē), was being proclaimed even further to "the total world" (ὅλῳ holo - total) (κόσμῳ kosmo - world). Different Greek words given by the Holy Spirit and thus different meanings.
How Big Kehunnah?
To-all the cherished of-God called holy (ones),
favor to-YOU and peace from God our Father and Jehovah Jesus Messiah.
Korah had a position within the Levitical priestood, but he blew it. Note we
are only told that Korah and his troop "perished from among the assembly"...they
went alive to sheol (Num.16:33). Yet there is even hope in the Big Kehunnah -
Jesus Christ's priesthood, for at the resurrection, even others will look on him
whom they pierced and mourn/repent. The 250 men were consumed by fire from YHVH
(16:35), in which they might be seen as a sacrifice as seen with other
sacrifices from time to time in the O.T. As Christians, we consider a coming
refining fire an act of lovingkindness by YHVH (1Cor. 3:12-14), so why not here
also?
How Great Lovingkindness?
1 Samuel 12:19 And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto Jehovah thy God, that we die not; for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king. 20 And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have indeed done all this evil; yet turn not aside from following Jehovah, but serve Jehovah with all your heart: 21 and turn ye not aside; for then would ye go after vain things which cannot profit nor deliver, for they are vain. 22 For Jehovah will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake, because it hath pleased Jehovah to make you a people unto himself.

Hebrews chapters 3 & 4 sure seem to fit well this week.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Again, "Come as you are called!" is heard this week. First consider the distinction between "the children of Israel" and "the stranger that sojouneth with you" in the Numbers passage.
Numbers
15:1
And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When
ye are come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,
Num 15:13 All that are home-born [כָּל־הָאֶזְרָח] shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah.
There are no
"home-born" until they are in the land - unless the "home" refers to ethnic
Israel (or does “all” mean the assembly of Israel, including the sojourning
stranger?).
14 And
if
a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever may be among you
throughout your generations, and will
offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah;
as ye do, so he shall do.
So then, in the land
of Israel, there seems to be here a distinction between the "home-born" and "the
stranger that sojourneth with you". The stranger doesn't become Jewish. Note the
further separate distinct group: "whosoever
may be among you",
which may better point
to the proselyte to Judaism.
15 For the assembly
[קָּהָל
qahal],
there shall be one statute for you, and for the stranger
that sojourneth with you, a statute for ever throughout your generations:
as ye are, so shall the sojourner be before Jehovah.
Is this saying that
the sojourner is to be like the Jews, or is it saying that the sojourner will
be before Jehovah also? Gesenius' Lexicon says of
qahal - "the
assembly";
"especially the
congregation of the people of Israel".
16 One law and one ordinance shall be for you, and for
the stranger that sojourneth with you.
The "stranger" that sojourns with the Children of Israel CANNOT be at the same time called "the Children of Israel". These two groups remain distinct. In today's Rabbinical Judaism, IF you "convert" to Judaism, you are a Jew; you are then one of "the Children of Israel". Therefore IF the stranger that sojourns with Israel is the same as a proselyte to Judaism, then the conversion process has been changed by the Rabbis at some point since from the giving of the Mosaic law. Rahab is continually called a harlot in scripture. Was she? IF she converted to Judaism, why wouldn't she be called Rahab the convert from Jericho? That it is a reference to a certain event is understood. However, in Numbers 15 the distinction between "the children of Israel" and "the stranger that sojourneth with you" lacks a need to be a point of reference but rather shows that both Jews and Gentiles were obligated to obey God's laws and statutes - "When ye are come into the land". A key point is that the Gentile did not become a Jew in order to serve Jehovah.
Note especially that the Jew was required to keep the law, whereas the Gentile, IF he desired to keep the law, was required to keep it as prescribed to the Jew. The Gentile, while never under the law, has had a form of God's grace available that allowed his participation. Restated: the stranger in Israel IS NOT REQUIRED to keep the law unless he is convicted to serve Jehovah through this manner; the Jew IS REQUIRED to keep the law, whether he is convicted to do so or not.
Further, vs14 adds " if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever may be among you". This latter “whosoever” group is distinct* from the sojourning stranger and is also allowed to serve Jehovah...so even if the case is made that the sojourning stranger had to convert to the then new "Judaism", you also have a group distinguished from them by "or whosoever may be among you". It is important to understand that what God had set up was not "Judaism" (the religion of the Jews), but rather God's theocracy.
* Even a careful look at the Greek LXX's use of "ἐν ", in: where translations inconsistently use both "in" and "among", and surrounding context, appear to show the "stranger" and "whosoever" to be separate groups. Perhaps the distinction is seen in that the Gentile sojourning stranger is not considered to be counted in/among the "generations" of Israel as they are not home-born, whereas the proselyte that is home born, is considered to be among Israel's generations.(?) 2016 note: Another distinction to consider: Romans 11:17 where the Gentile believer is grafted in among the Israeli believer, along with the consideration that our sacrifice now is offered with our lips -- i.e. a thanksgiving/thank-offering. This offering is accepted by YHVH from the Gentile trusting in YHVH Yeshua/Jesus that is among (in spirit) Israel. The New Covenant supersedes the Old.
IF the Jews are to be a light to the gentiles, the gentiles have to remain "as they were called" i.e. as gentiles, in order for that light to shine. These things were for a pattern (Heb.3:11), and in like manner in the New Covenant’s One New Man (Eph.ch2), Jewish believers remain Jews and Gentile believers remain Gentiles, as "sharers of (an) in heavenly calling": "Today if YOU-might-hear of his voice, Might-YOU not be-hardening your hearts as in the provocation according-to the day of-the trial in the wilderness... ...As I-swore in my wrath: If they-will-come-into my rest."
Hebrews 3
v1 Whence, holy brothers,
sharers
of-(an)-in-heavenly calling, YOU-take-note-of
the apostle and chief-priest of-our confession,
Jesus,
v2 Being trustworthy to-the (one) having-made him, as also
Moses among his total
household.
v3 For this (one)
has-been-and-is-still-thought-worthy
of-much-more glory beside
Moses according-to
as-much-as the (one) having-constructed it, is-having much-more honor (than) the
home.
v4 For every home is-being-constructed by someone, but the (one)
having-constructed all (things) (is) God.
v5 And Moses
on-the-one-hand, trustworthy among his total household, as (an) attendant
with-reference-to (a) witness of-the (things) to-be-spoken-in-the-future,
v6 Messiah
on-the-other-hand as Son (over) [on]
his household; of-whom we ourselves are (the) household,
if we-might-hold-fast the boldness-of-speech and the boast of-the hope firm
as-far-as (the) finish.
v7 On-this-account, according-as the Holy Spirit is saying: Today if
YOU-might-hear of his voice,
v8 Might-YOU not be-hardening
your hearts as in
the provocation
according-to the day of-the trial in the wilderness,
v9 The-place-where YOUR fathers
tried in a-proving and they-saw my works forty
years.
v10 On-this-account I-was-disgusted-with this generation [G1074
γενεᾷ genea – “race”?]
and I said: Invariably they-are-being-led-astray in the heart; but they
themselves come not to-know my ways,
v11 As I-swore in my wrath: If they-will-come-into my rest.
v12 You-be-looking (out), brothers,
lest-at-any-time
(an) evil heart
of-unbelief
will-be in someone of-YOU in
the depart(ing) from (a)
living God,
v13 BUT YOU-be-entreating yourselves according-to each day, until of-which
it-is-being-called the today, in-order-that someone out-of YOU might not be-hardened
by-deceit of-the sin;
v14 For
we-have-become-and-still-are
sharers of-the Messiah,
if-altogether we-might-hold-fast the beginning of-the reality firm as-far-as
(the) finish.
v15 In the being-said: Today if of his
voice YOU-might-hear, YOU-harden not your hearts as in the provocation.
v16 For some
having-heard, they-provoked;
BUT not all the (ones) having-come out-of Egypt
through Moses.
Does this show that the Gentiles that came out of Egypt with Israel (i.e. the “mixed multitude”) were NOT under the Law of Moses?
v17 But with-whom was-he-disgusted forty years? (Was it) NOT with-the
(ones) having-sinned,
of-whom the carcasses fell in the wilderness?
God was primarily "disgusted" with the disobedient Children of Israel, not the
Gentiles that were among them.
v18 But to-whom swore-he (that they would) not go into
his rest
if not to-the
(ones) having-disobeyed?
v19 And we-are-looking-at (the fact) that
they-were
not able to-go-in because-of
unbelief.
Hebrews 4
v1 Let-us-fear therefore lest-at-any-time
of-a-promise being-left-behind (to us) to-go-in into
his rest
someone out-of
YOU
might-seem to-have-been-and-still-be-lacking.
v2 For we also are (ones) having-been-brought-and-still-being-brought-good-news
even-as also-those;
BUT the word of-the report profited not
those
not
having-been-and-still-mingled-together with the trust in-the (ones) having-heard.
v3
For
we, the (ones) having-trusted,
are-going-in into
the rest,
according-as he-has-said-and-still-says: As I-swore in my
wrath;
if they-will-go-in into
my rest;
and-yet of-the
works
having-been-come-to-pass from casting-down of-(a)-world.
We rest from the works of the law that came about because of the sin in the
Garden of Eden - because our sins are forgiven and removed by trust in the
"just act" of Jesus, his sacrifice, his blood shed for us on the cross.
v4 For somewhere he-has-said-and-still-says concerning the seventh (day)
thus: And the God
rested
in the day namely the seventh from all his works;
v5 And in this (place) again: If they-will-go-in into
my rest.
v6 Since therefore it-is-being-left-behind (for) some to-go-in into it,
and the (ones)
formerly having-been-brought-good-news went not in because-of
disobedience,
Their lack of trust equates to lawlessness.
v7 Again he-is-appointing
(a) certain day, today,
saying in David after this-much time, according-as
he-has-said-before-and-still-says: Today if of
his voice
YOU-might-hear,
might YOU-not
harden your hearts.
v8 For if Joshua rested them, he-was not speaking concerning another day after
these (things).
v9 So
a-resting-as-on-the-Sabbath
is-being-left behind for-the
people of-the God.
v10 For the (one) having-gone-in into
his rest
he himself also
rested from his works,
as-altogether
the God from his own.
v11 Let-us-be-diligent therefore to-go-in into
that rest,
in-order-that some-one might not fall in the same
copy
of-the disobedience.
v12 For
the word of-the God (is) living and operational
and more-cutting above every two-edged dagger and penetrating unto partition
of-soul and of-spirit, and both of-joints and of-marrows, and able-to-judge
of-meditations and of-conclusions of-a-heart;
v13 And no creation is unseen in his sight, but all (things) (are) naked and
having-been-and-still-(are)-laid-prostrate to his eyes; with whom the word
(came) to-us.
v14
Having therefore (a) great chief-priest having-gone-through-and-still-through
the heavens, Jesus the Son of-the God, let-us-be-retaining of-the confession.
THE CONFESSION:
Philippians 2:5 "YOU-be-having this opinion in YOU which also (is) in Messiah Jesus,
v6 Who existing in form of-God considered not the being equal with-God (a thing for) seizure,
v7 BUT he-emptied himself having-taken form of (a) slave, having-become in similitude of-MEN;
v8 And having-been-found in-figure as MAN he-humbled himself having-become obedient as-far-as death, but death of-(a)-cross.
v9 and on-this-account the God exceedingly-exalted him and bestowed-a-favor to-him the name, namely-the-one above every name,"
v10 "In-order-that in the name (Hebrew: HaShem) of-Jesus every knee might-bend of-(those)-in-(the)-heavenly and of-(those)-earthly and of-(those)-subterranean,
v11 And every tongue might-acknowledge that Jesus Messiah (is) Jehovah with-reference-to glory of-God (the) Father,"
Romans 10:13 For every (one) whosoever might-call-on the name of-Jehovah will-be-saved.
Isaiah 45:18 "For thus saith Jehovah that created the heavens, the God that formed the earth and made it, that established it and created it not a waste, that formed it to be inhabited: I am Jehovah; and there is none else. 19 I have not spoken in secret, in a place of the land of darkness; I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I, Jehovah, speak righteousness, I declare things that are right. 20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that carry the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save. 21 Declare ye, and bring it forth; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath showed this from ancient time? who hath declared it of old? have not I, Jehovah? and there is no God else besides me, a just God and a Saviour; there is none besides me. 22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is none else. 23 By myself have I sworn, the word is gone forth from my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear."
Romans 10:13 For every (one) whosoever might-call-on the name of-Jehovah will-be-saved.
Cont. Hebrews 4:15
For
we-are
not having
(a) chief-priest not being-able to-suffer-together with our weaknesses,
but having-been-and-still-tried according-to all (things) according-to
similarity (to-us) separate-from sin.
v16
Let-us therefore be-going-near with boldness-of-speech to-the throne of-the
favor in-order-that we-might-take mercy and we-might-find favor
with-reference-to seasonable help.
Much more to think on here, but for now considering again God's great love in his grace in Rahab's trust.
Jump to: Rahab was not Torah Observant.
www.Cotopaxi-Colorado.com\Torah-Torah.htm#Rahab_was_not_Torah_Observant
Heb.11:31 says the harlot (that is, non Torah Observant) Rahab perished not -because she trusted - here, her "work" is simply defined as her trust, although James adds that her actions reflected her trust. If she was following Torah she wouldn't have had strange men in her home (Josh. 2:1, Exd. 34:15,16), right? But the physical works out of trust that are applied as what justified her (Joshua 6:17) could only come about because strange men were in her home. Rahab's justification has nothing to do with obeying 613 commandments....
Understand that Rahab was NOT UNDER THE LAW, so when she lied (Joshua 2) she did not break a commandment. In Joshua 1 YHVH commands Israel to observe and do his commandments. Then in Joshua ch2 Rahab lies. Her lie was not a "work" of the Mosaic law, good or bad, as she was not under the Mosaic law. For that matter her prostitution was not forbidden as she was a gentile, not under the law. Rahab knew, that is trusted, YHVH was the true God (Josh.2:9) and also professed that (Josh.2:11) and her works (hiding/protecting Joshua's servants(Ja.2:25) ) were based on that trust, not on any covenantal law..in fact, Rahab's good work of trust was to lie! (Josh.2:4,5).
...wherein we understand better that there is ONE just/righteous, Jesus Christ (1Jn2:1,2 --> Ro.3:19-26)
"The only 'days of rest' between the Feasts are the weekly Sabbaths/Saturdays."
Rabbinical Judaism denies the Father and the Son.
There are many anti-messiahs, yet they ("unsaved" Jews) are God's special case and therefore beloved enemies of the Gospel. They will have their Revelation of Jesus Christ in the near future. Never-the-less, we that trust in Jesus are not to follow the darkness/blindness of Rabbinical Judaism.
There are many anti-messiahs...
1 John 2:18 Children it-is last hour, and according-as YOU-heard that antichrist is-coming, even now many antichrists have-come-to-pass-and-still-are; whence we-are-coming-to-know that it is (the) last hour.
v19 They-went-out out-of us, BUT they-were not out-of us; for if
they-were out-of us, they-would-have-been-remaining with us; BUT in-order-that
they-might-be-manifested that all are not out-of us.
v20 And YOU yourselves are-having (a) consecration from the holy (one) and
YOU-are-knowing-absolutely all (persons).
v21 I-wrote to-YOU not because YOU-are not knowing-absolutely the truth, BUT
because YOU-are-knowing it absolutely, and because every lie is not out-of the
truth.
v22 Who is
the liar
if not
the (one) denying that Jesus is the Messiah?
The antichrist is this (one), the (one) denying the Father and the son.
v23
Every (one) denying the son neither is-hating the Father;
the (one) confessing the son also is-having
the Father.
THE Anti-Christ/Messiah is Satan. But Satan has turned many in Judaism away from God, just as he has in the New Covenant assemblies. If someone follows the leading astray of Satan, they may be anti-messiah, but not THE Anti-Messiah: they are not Satan.
As God has given them this blindness it is evident that they are not really predestined to always be "anti-messiah", because YHVH's lovingkindness, or mercy, endures forever. Thus in YHVH's lovingkindness, perhaps it is not fitting to call them "anti-messiah", as they are blinded by God to this truth. On another hand, Jehovah's Witnesses, for instance, may be destined to always be antichrists.
...Never-the-less, we are not to follow Rabbinical Judaism...
Don't lose your First Love (Jesus):
v24
(That) which YOU yourselves-heard from (the) beginning, let-it-be-remaining in
YOU. if (that) which YOU-heard from (the) beginning might-remain in YOU, YOU
yourselves will also remain in the son and in the Father.
v25 And
this is the promise which he himself-promised to-us, the life namely-the eternal
(life).
v26 These-things I-wrote to-YOU concerning the (ones) leading YOU astray.
...yet the Jews are God's special case...
Romans 11:1 I-am-saying therefore, (has) the God pushed-away-from-himself his people? (No!) May-it-not-come-to-pass; for I myself also am (an) Israelite, out-of seed of-Abraham, of-(the)-tribe of-Benjamin.
v2 The God (has) not pushed-away-from-himself his people whom he-came-to-know-before. Or are-YOU not knowing-absolutely what the scripture is-saying in (the history of) Elias, as he-is-interceding With-the God down-upon the Israeli?
v7 What then? What Israel is-seeking-after, this it-attained not, but the choice attained; but the others were-petrified,
v8 Even-as it-has-been-and-is-still-written: The God gave to-them (a) spirit of-compunction, eyes not to-be-looking and ears not to-be-hearing, till of-the today day.
v9 And David is-saying: Let their table become into (a) snare and into (a) hunting and into (an) entrapment and into (a) repayment for-them,
v10 Let their eyes be-made-dark (so as) not to-be-looking, and you-bend-completely their back through every-(thing).
v11 I-am-saying therefore, (Have) they-slipped in-order-that they-might-fall? (No!) May-it not come-to-pass; BUT by-their offence the salvation to-the Gentiles, with-reference-to to-provoke them to-jealousy.
v12 But if their offence (is) riches of-(a)-world and their inferiority (is) riches of-nations, in-how-much more their fulness.
They WILL have MORE fulness than Gentile Christians! How is that possible?!? It doesn't matter: "And God Said." - so we don't boast.
...and
therefore beloved enemies of the Gospel...
Romans 11:28 On-the-one-hand enemies according-to the good-news because-of YOU, on-the-other-hand cherished (ones) according-to the choice because-of the fathers;
...They will have their Revelation of Jesus Christ in the near future...
Romans 11:25 For I-am not willing (for) YOU to-be-being-ignorant brothers, (of) this mystery, in-order that YOU-might not be prudent in yourselves, that petrifaction has-come-to-pass-and-still-is from part to-the Israeli, until of-which (time) the fulness of-the Gentiles might-come-in,
v26 And thus all Israel will-be-saved, according-as it-has-been-and-still-is-written: The (one) delivering will-be-present out-of Sion, he-will-turn-back impiety from Jacob. (Isaiah 59:20, Zechariah 3:9)
Hebrews 10:15 But the Holy Spirit also is-witnessing to-us; for after to-have-said-before-and-still-saying;
v16
This (is) the covenant which I-myself-shall-covenant with
them
after those days,
Jehovah is saying:
Giving my laws on
their hearts,
and on
their intellects
I-shall-inscribe them,
v17
And of-their
sins
and
their lawlessnesses
I-shall by-no-means still be-mindful.
...Never-the-less, we believers in Messiah Yeshua/Jesus are not to follow Rabbinical Judaism...
Titus 1:5
For-sake-of this I-left you behind in Crete, in-order-that
you-might-straighten-very-thoroughly-for-yourself the-things being-wanting, and
you-might-establish elders according-to city, as I myself-ordered you,
v6 If someone is unreprovable, husband of-one woman, having trustworthy
children, not in accusation of-dissipation or insubordination.
v7 For it-is-essential the overseer to-be unreprovable as
administrator-of-the-household of-God, not self-willed, not wrathful, not
addicted-to-wine, not one-ready-with-a-blow, not fond-of-shameful-gain,
v8 BUT loving-stranger, loving-good, of-sound-mind, just, hallowed,
self-controlling,
v9 Holding-up the trustworthy word according-to the doctrine, in-order-that
he-might-be powerful also to-be-entreating with the teaching, namely-the
healthy, and to-be-reproving the (ones) contradicting.
v10 For there-are many insubordinate, aimless-talkers, and mental-deceivers,
especially
the (ones) out-of the circumcision,
v11 Whom it-is-essential to-be-stopping-the-mouths-of, they-who
are-subverting total households, teaching which-things it-is not essential,
for-the-sake-of shameful gain.
v12 Someone out-of them, their own prophet, said: Cretans (are) invariably
liars, bad beasts, idle wombs.
v13 This witness is true. Because-of which reason you-be severely reproving
them, in-order-that they-might-be-being-healthy in the trust,
v14 Not paying-attention to-Jewish
legends and commandments of-MEN
turning-back-for-themselves from the truth.
2 Timothy 4:3
For
(a) season will-be when they-will not tolerate the healthy teaching,
BUT according-to their-own desires they-will-heap-on to-themselves teachers
having-themselves the hearing itching,
4 And on-the-one-hand they-will-turn-back the hearing from the truth,
on-the-other-hand they-will-be-diverted upon
the legends.
...we can love our neighbor as ourselves without becoming entrapped in their blindness...
Hebrews 10:24 And let-us-be-taking-note-of one-another with-reference-to (an) irritation of-charity and of-fine works,
"not abandoning
completely"
v25 Not abandoning the leading-together-completely of-ourselves,
according-as custom with-certain-ones, BUT comforting, and by-this-much more
for-as-long-as YOU-are-looking-to the day drawing-near.
...Never-the-less,
we are not to follow Rabbinical Judaism...
v26 For of our sinning voluntarily after (we) took the thorough-knowledge of-the
truth, no-more (a) sacrifice concerning sins is-being-left-behind,
v27 But certain fearful long-waiting-for of-judgement and zeal of-future fire
to-be-eating the (ones) set-over-against.
v28 Some-one having-disregarded (a)
law of-Moses,
upon two or three witnesses if-dying-off separate-from pities;
v29
To-how-much of-worse vengeance are-YOU-thinking will-he-be-thought worthy, the
(one) having-trodden-down
the Son of-the God
and having-considered
the blood of-the covenant, in which he-was-made-holy,
common,
and having-insulted-within
the Spirit of-the favor?
v30 For we-are-knowing-absolutely the (one) having-said: To-me an-avenging, I
myself will-repay; and again: Jehovah will-judge his people.
v31 (A) fearful (thing) to-fall-into hands
of-(a)-living God.
v32 But YOU-yourselves-be-being-mindful-again (of) the former days, in which
having-been-enlightened YOU-persevered
much contest of-sufferings,
v33 This on-the-one-hand, (ones) being-made-spectacles both with-reproaches and
in-tribulations; this on-the-other-hand,
having-become partners of-the (ones) thus turning-themselves-about.
v34 For YOU also suffered-together with-the prisoners, and YOU-welcomed the
seizing of YOUR goods with joy, coming-to-know yourselves to-be-having (a)
better and remaining existence.
v35 Might-YOU not be-casting-off therefore
YOUR boldness-of-speech,
one-which is-having great compensation.
v36 For YOU-are-having need of-perseverance in-order-that having-done
the will
of-the God YOU-might-obtain-for-yourselves
the promise.
v37 For still (a) little moment,
the (one) coming will-be-present
and he-will not linger,
v38 But my just (one) will-himself-live out-of
trust,
and if he-himself-might-shrink-back, my soul is not thinking-well in him.
v39 But we ourselves are not of-shrinking-back with-reference-to destruction,
BUT of-trust with-reference-to possession of-soul.
Revelation 2:4 BUT I-am-holding down-upon you that you-let-go your first charity.
"First charity": this has been taught that the first New Covenant assembly, Ephesus, had stopped studying Torah. And that may be true, but with all the related warnings to the first Christian assembly, as in Jude, consider also that this primarily speaks that they were falling back into the legends/legalism of Judaism.
Jude v3 Cherished (ones), while-making all diligence to-be-writing to-YOU concerning our common salvation, I-had necessity to-write to-YOU entreating (you) to-be-contending for-the trust having-been-given-over once to-the holy-ones.
...There are many
anti-messiahs...
v4 For certain MEN crept-in-alongside,
the (ones) having-been-written-before long-ago and-still-written
with-reference-to this sentence, impious (ones), transferring the favor of our
God into wantonness and denying the only
Despot and our Lord Jesus Messiah.
(1Jn.2:22)
v5 But I-am-purposing to-put YOU in-mind, once knowing-absolutely all-(things),
that Jehovah having saved (a) people out-of land of-Egypt the second (place)
he-destroyed the (ones) not having-trusted,
The First Love is Jesus-YHVH, who died for us so that we are free from the bondage/law of sin and death.
Romans 8:2 "For the law of-the spirit of-the life in Messiah Jesus made me free from the law of the sin and of-the death."
For these scriptural reasons we shouldn't follow Rabbinical teachings that are contrary to scripture...
We don't "save" Rabbinical Jews" by any means -Jesus Saves. So we don't practice Rabbinical Judaism in order to make our trust in Messiah Jesus seem more accessible to them; this is vanity, as it is "Jesus Saves". Yet there is a place for this "graciousness" on the part of a New Testament Believer:
Romans 10:12 For (there) is not strict-order both of-Jew and of Greek. For the same Jehovah of-all, being-rich with-reference-to all the (ones) calling-on him;
v13 For every (one) whosoever might-call-on the name of-Jehovah will-be-saved.
v14 How therefore might-they-call-on (one) with-reference-to whom they-trusted not? But how will-they-trust of-whom they-heard not? But how will-they-hear separate-from (one) preaching?
v15 But how might-they-preach if they-might not be-dispatched? Even-as it-has-been-and-is-still-written: As beautiful the feet of-the (ones) bringing-good-news-(of) good-things.
However, MUCH MUCH care must be taken not to fall into vanity of the pit of despair of anti-messiah. Many Christians don't know enough scripture to be strong enough to entertain today's "Messianic Judaism" without falling under the law. Even if YOU are strong enough, are those believers in your wake strong enough?
1 Corinthians 10:22 Or are-we-provoking the Lord to-jealousy? Are-we stronger (ones) (than) he?
Again, it is necessary for the Jew to hear/shema the Gospel; but it has to be the Gospel Truth, and not a mixed up gospel:
Be Holy. Just speak the truth - Jesus Saves - and God will give the increase according to his will.
1 Corinthians 1:17
For Messiah dispatched me not to-be-baptizing BUT to-be-bringing-good-news,
not in wisdom of-word, in-order-that the cross of-the Messiah might not
be-emptied.
v18
For the word, namely-the (one) of-the cross on-the-one-hand is to-the (ones)
perishing stupidity, on-the-other-hand to-us, to-the (ones) being-saved it-is
(the) power of-God.
Yes, our trust in Jesus is the work of God (Jn.6:29), trust comes through hearing and hearing through the saying of God/Messiah (Jn.10:30; Rom.10:17), so we study to show ourselves approved unto God (2 Tim.2:15). Yes, and yet we don't get high-minded, but understand - and trust -that God will do as he has said.
Be
Holy. Just speak the truth - Jesus Saves - and God will give the increase
according to His will.
I found this study helpful in that 1) it shows that in the Bible, Sabbaths are never called feasts and feasts are never called Sabbaths, 2) it distinguishes “Shabbahth” and “Shabbahthohn” and "kodesh mikrah" ("holy convocation"), and 3) explains that "3 days and 3 nights" is a Jewish idiom. The author makes an interesting statement at the bottom of page 22.
We often read surrounding N.T. scripture because it is such a blessing to do so.
In 1 Corinthians, we are admonished not to be spiritual idolaters or spiritual prostitutes.
1
Corinthians 10:1
For I-am not being-willing (for) YOU to-be-being ignorant, brothers, that our
fathers were all under the cloud and all went-through the sea,
v2 And they all baptized-themselves with-reference-to
the Moses
in the cloud and in the sea,
v3 And they all ate the same spiritual food,
v4 And they all drank the same spiritual drink; for they-were-drinking out-of
(a) spiritual rock following,
but
the rock was the Messiah.
v5 BUT with the many-more of-them the God thought not well; for
they-were-spread-down in the wilderness.
v6 But these-things became
our
patterns,
with-reference-to us, not to-be
desirers of-bad-things,
according-as also-those desired.
v7 Neither YOU-be-becoming
idolaters,
according-as some of-them; as it-has-been-and-is-still-written:
The people
caused-to-be-seated
to-eat and to-drink,
also stood-again
to-be-playing.
v8 Nor let-us-be-committing-prostitution,
according-as some of-them
committed-prostitution
and they-fell, in-one day, twenty three thousands.
v9 Nor let-us-be-tempting
the Messiah,
according-as some of-them
tried,
and destroyed-themselves by the serpents.
v10 Nor be-YOU-murmuring,
even-as some of-them
murmured,
and they-destroyed-themselves by the decimator.
v11 But all these-things, (as) patterns, were happening to-those, but
it-was-written toward admonition of-us, with-reference-to whom the finishes
of-the ages has-arrived.
v12 So-that let the (one) seeming to-have-stood-and-still-be-standing be-looking
(that) he-might not fall.
v13 Trial has not taken-and-is-still not taking YOU if not (a) human (one); but
the God (is) trustworthy, who will not allow YOU to-be-tried above what
YOU-are-being-able, BUT he-will-make with the trial also the outcome (for) YOU
to-be-being-able to undergo (it).
v14 For-which-very-reason, my cherished (ones), YOU-be-fleeing from
the idolatry.
v15 As to-prudent-(ones) I-am-saying; YOU yourselves judge what I-am-stating.
v16
The cup of-the blessing which we-are-blessing, is-it NOT participation of-the
blood of-the Messiah? The bread which we-are-breaking-in-pieces, is-it NOT
participation of-the body of-the Messiah?
Cont. 1 Cor.10:17 Because we, the many, are one bread, one body; for we all are-sharing out-of the one bread.
Luke 22:19 And having-taken bread, having-given-thanks he-broke-in-pieces, and he-gave to-them, saying, This is my body, the-(one) being-given in-behalf-of YOU: YOU-be-doing this with-reference-to my remembrance.
*3rd Cup after the yearly Passover meal.
v20 And in-the-same-way the *cup after to-partake-supper, saying, This cup (is) the new-quality covenant in my blood, the-(one) being-poured-out in-behalf-of YOU.
v18 YOU-be-looking-at
the Israeli according-to flesh;
are not the (ones) eating
the sacrifices
partners of-the
altar?
v19 What therefore am-I-stating? That (an)-idolatrous-sacrifice
is something? or that (an)
idol
is something?
v20 BUT that what (things)
the Gentiles
are
sacrificing,
they-are-sacrificing
to-demons
and not to-God, but I-am not willing YOU to-be-becoming partners of-the
demons.
v21 YOU-are not being-able to-be-drinking
(a)
*cup
of-Jehovah
and
(a) cup of-demons;
YOU-are not being-able to-be-sharing of-a-table
of-Jehovah
and of-a-table
of-demons.
v22 Or are-we-provoking the Lord to-jealousy? Are-we stronger (ones) (than)
he?
v23
All-things are-legitimate, BUT not all-things are-being-advantageous;
all-things are-legitimate, BUT not all-things are-building-up.
v24 Let no-one be-seeking the (thing) of-himself BUT each (one) the (thing)
of-the different (one).
v25 Everything being-offered-for-sale in (a) meat-market YOU-be-eating,
examining not-one-thing because-of the conscience;
v26 For of-the Lord (is) the earth and the fulness of-it.
v27 If someone of-the
unbelieving (ones)
is-calling YOU and YOU-are-willing to-be-proceeding, YOU-be-eating every thing
being-placed-beside YOU, examining not-one-thing because-of the conscience.
v28 But if someone might-say to-YOU; This is (an)
idolatrous-sacrifice,
YOU-be not eating because-of that (one), the (one) having-disclosed (it) and the
conscience;
v29 But I-am-saying conscience NOT the (one) of-himself BUT the (one) of-the
different (one). For to-what-end is my freedom being-judged by another
conscience?
v30 If I myself am-sharing
in-favor,
why am-I-being-blasphemed in-behalf-of what I myself-am-giving-thanks?
Here the “unbelieving (ones)” may refer to:
1. Pagan Gentiles. Pagans do sacrifice to false gods. Most pagans eat pork. Would the pagan’s conscience be bothered by a sacrifice (eating) of a pig? Probably not. If they inform you that the food is an idolatrous sacrifice, then don’t eat it.
2. Jews that don’t trust in Yeshua as the Messiah. The Mosaic Law sacrifices are not pagan, and the Mosaic law forbids the eating of pork. If they mistake your freedom to eat a pig for sin, then don’t eat the pig in front of them.
Cont. 1 Cor.10:31 Whether therefore YOU-are-eating or YOU-are-drinking or anything YOU-are-doing, YOU-be-doing all-things with-reference-to (the) glory of-God.
v32 YOU-be-becoming (ones) not-causing-to-stumble even to-Jews and to-Greeks and to-the assembly of-the God,
v33 According-as I-also (in) all-things am-pleasing all, not seeking the (thing) advantageous of-myself BUT the (thing) of-the many, in-order-that they-might-be-saved.
Notice that in 1 Corinthians we have:
* Prophecy is rendered inactive at some time. (13:8)
* Wisdom of God (1:24) vs. wisdom of flesh (1:26)
* God's Wisdom is spoken in mystery (2:7)
* Spiritual prostitution is forbidden. (6:13,16 ) ~ (10:21,28)
* Physical prostitution is of course also forbidden (and the physical affects the spiritual, 5:1-6 )
* Knowledge of the God as revealed by the Spirit of the God vs knowledge of mankind as revealed by the spirit of mankind (2:11)
* There are absolutes of knowledge (Οἶδεν) both of the spirit of man and of the Spirit of the God (2:11).
* The spiritually mature, that is the truly prudent, exist (10:15).
* We have the mind of Messiah (2:16)
* We have authority to do much (perhaps Christmas fits here) but a greater responsibility to protect the weak members from thinking evil is ok (perhaps Christmas fits here) (8:9).
* There are infants in the assembly (3:1) They are as fleshy (worldly?) ones (3:1). Note Paul (by the Holy Spirit) could NOT speak to the "fleshy" and "infants" as spiritual ones.(3:1) They are also prudent (4:10). Is that ever a paradox?
This speaks of things of MANkind, man's spirit, man's wisdom vs. things of God, His Spirit, His Wisdom. In God's Realm (apparently including 3:16), there are infants and fleshy ones. That is, in Messiah there are both fleshy and/or infants AND there are spiritually mature ones. We are not to remain as infants in Messiah (1Cor.3:2 &13:11). The knowledge is not in all (8:7) and so while all things are ok, not all things are advantageous (6:12), and we are not to trip the weak member by doing something that might mislead them (8:7-11). (Saturnalia comes to mind.) We are NOT to unite to THE prostitute (6:16 & see Ro.7:1-4).
2 Corinthians 6:14 YOU-be not becoming being-differently-yoked to-unbelieving-(ones); for what sharing by-justice and by-lawlessness, or what participation by-light toward darkness?
This is speaking of things regarding believers within the assembly. The Corinthians were doing ok, and even if they were infants in Messiah, even they were prudent enough to trust - and yet, they were not kicking the sinners out of the assembly, and they were participating in these practices (6:14-20). In this we can see that having association with sin or sinners in the assembly is not what God meant by "all things work out for God's good".
Again, regarding how the mature/prudent ones (10:15) interact with those that do not believe - outside the assembly:
1 Corinthians 10:27 "If someone of-the unbelieving (ones) is-calling YOU and YOU-are-willing to-be-proceeding, YOU-be-eating every thing being-placed-beside YOU, examining not-one-thing because-of the conscience."
-Therefore it may be OK to participate in Hanukkah, as the Jews are not believers in Messiah Jesus. And I think especially so if we make certain emphasis on Jesus as the true Light of the sanctuary, which is in believers. That is, if we tweak/offend those that reject this truth, it is ok to participate in their Hanukkah celebration, at their request. (This may or may not speak to celebrating Christmas - it depends on whether or not the one calling you believes in Jesus (in truth) or not.)
We also understand these verses as referencing pagan gentile sacrifices:
1 Corinthians 10:20 BUT that what (things) the Gentiles are sacrificing, they-are-sacrificing to-demons and not to-God, but I-am not willing YOU to-be-becoming partners of-the demons.
v21 YOU-are not being-able to-be-drinking (a) cup of-Jehovah and (a) cup of-demons; YOU-are not being-able to-be-sharing of-a-table of-Jehovah and of-a-table of-demons.
HOWEVER! Here's where the rub begins:
1 Corinthians 10:18 YOU-be-looking-at the Israeli according-to flesh; are not the (ones) eating the sacrifices partners of-the altar?
1 Corinthians 10:28 "But if someone might-say to-YOU; This is (an) idolatrous-sacrifice, YOU-be not eating because-of that (one), the (one) having-disclosed (it) and the conscience;"
This isn't saying "if someone thinks" it is an idolatrous sacrifice, but rather "if someone says" it is....do not eat it. That removes a lot of liberty that I thought we had....as most people don’t think about it. However, certain foods are marked as being pagan sacrifices…
To us in the New Covenant with Yahweh Yeshua (Jehovah Jesus), our participation in the Sinai/(Hagar Gal.4:21-31) Covenant is spiritual adultery (Ro.7:1-4). Prudent ones KNOW what both spiritual and physical idolatry, leaven, prostitution is. We KNOW those things don't mean anything because they are false gods. If we go to the store and buy meat, we can eat it. IF someone tells us -whether vocally or by a stamp- i.e. it is HALAL, -which is an idolatrous Islamic sacrifice, then we are not to eat it.
SO. If we want to partake for instance, of Hanukkah, we can, UNLESS we have
LEARNED that it is MAN's addition (idolatry) to God's commandment [see
Hanukkah],
wherein which knowledge we KNOW BETTER. The exact same applies to Christmas.
Contemporarily, Christmas came from the Roman Catholic Church, and Hanukkah
and a mid-week Pentecost came from Rabbinical Judaism.
Note the similarity between spiritual adultery and spiritual prostitution.
Romans 7:1 Or are-YOU-being-ignorant, brothers, for I-am-speaking to-(ones)-coming-to-know law, that the law is-exercising-lordship of-the MAN on as-long time as he-is-living?
v2 For the woman under-a-husband has-been-and-is-still-bound by-law to-the living husband; but if the husband might-die-off, she-has-been-and-is still-rendered-inactive from the law of-the husband.
v3 So therefore, while the husband (is) living, she-will-be-termed (an) adulteress if she-might-become to-(a)-different man; but if the husband might-die-off, she-is free from the law, she (will) not be (an) adulteress having-become to-(a)-different man.
BUT: if she goes back to the first law of the husband, she IS committing adultery. Note the new husband is a "different" man from the first husband.
v4 So-that, my brothers, YOU yourselves also were-put-to-death to-the law through the body of-the Messiah, with-reference-to YOU to-become to-(a)-different (one), to-the (one) having-been-raised out-of dead (ones), in-order-that we-might-bring-forth-fruit to-the God.
Where do you bring your fruit? To the shadow altar of Sinai?
1 Corinthians 10:18 YOU-be-looking-at the Israeli according-to flesh; are not the (ones) eating the sacrifices partners of-the altar?
Or to the altar of the God?
Hebrews 13:10 We-are-having (an) altar out-of which the (ones) serving to-the tabernacle are not having authority to-eat.
1 Corinthians 3:16 "Are YOU not knowing absolutely that YOU are the sanctuary of the God, and the spirit of God is dwelling in YOU?
The First Love is Jesus-YHVH, who died for us so that we are free from the bondage/law of sin and death.
Romans 8:2 "For the law of-the spirit of-the life in Messiah Jesus made me free from the law of the sin and of-the death."
~~~~~~
Revelation ch11 continues the Seventh Seal:
Revelation 11:1
And (a) reed like to-(a)-rod was-given to-me, saying: You-be-arising and
you-measure
the sanctuary of-the God
and
the altar
and
the (ones) worshipping in it.
v2 And the court namely-the (one) outside of-the sanctuary you-cast-out outside
and you-might not measure it, because it-was-given to-the
Gentiles,
and the city namely-the holy (one) they-will-tread forty two months
42
mo. = 3.5 years.
v3 And I-shall-give to-my two witnesses, and they-will-prophesy (a)
thousand two-hundred sixty days having-been-and-still-cast-around (with)
sackcloths.
1260 days = approx. 3.42 years
v4 These having-stood-and-still-standing are the two olive-trees and
the two lampstands namely-the (ones) in-sight of-the Lord of-the earth.
cont. Revelation 11:5 And if someone is-willing
to-do-harm-to them, fire is-proceeding-out out-of their mouths and
it-is-devouring their enemies; and if someone might-will to-do-harm-to them,
thus it-is-essential (for) him to-be-killed.
v6 These are-having the authority to-shut the heaven, in-order-that it-might not
be-raining (a) heavy-shower the days of-their prophecy, and they-are-having
authority over the waters to-be-turning them into blood and to-smite the earth
with every blow as-often-as if they-might-will.
v7 And at-the-time-that they-might-finish their witness,
the beast namely-the
(one) ascending out-of the abyss will-make war with them and
he-will-have-victory-over them and he-will-kill them.
v8 And their corpses (will-be) on-the square of-the city namely-the great
(one), which is-being-called spiritually Sodom and Egypt, where-in-which also
their Lord was-crucified.
Christ was physically killed in Jerusalem, "spiritually Sodom and Egypt" - so then this place is NOT the sanctuary of the God. It’s not a part of the assembly/body of Christ.
v9 And they out-of
the peoples and tribes and languages and nations
will-look-at their corpses three and (a) half days, and they-will-not-let
their corpses to-be-put into sepulchres.
This verse probably deserves a rethinking.
v10 And the (ones) residing on the earth will-rejoice over them and
they-will-be-made-merry, and they-will-send gifts to-one-another, because these,
the two prophets, tormented the (ones) residing on the earth.
v11 And after the three days and (a) half (the), Spirit of-life out-of the
God went-in in them, and they-stood on their feet, and great fear fell on the
(ones) observing them.
This will be visible world wide.
v12 And they-heard (a) great voice out-of the heaven saying to-them: You-ascend
here; and they ascended into the heaven in the cloud, and their enemies observed
them.
v13 And in that hour (a) great earthquake came-to-pass, and the tenth of-the
city fell, and seven thousands names of-MEN were-killed in the earthquake, and
the others became (ones) afraid and they-gave glory to-the God of-the heaven.
v14 The woe namely-the second went-away; behold, the woe namely-the third
is-coming speedily.
↑ all part of sixth angel/trumpet.
v15 And the seventh angel sounded-a-trumpet; and great voices
came-to-pass in the heaven, saying: The kingdom of-the world became of-our Lord
and of-his Messiah, and he-will-be-king with-reference-to the ages of-the ages.
v16 And the twenty four elders, namely-the (ones) sitting in-sight of-the God on
their thrones, fell on their faces and they-worshiped the God,
v17 Saying: We-are-giving-thanks to-you, Lord the God the Almighty, the (one)
being and the (one who) was, because you-have-taken-and-still-have your power
namely-the great and you-(became)-King;
v18 And
the Gentiles
were-made-wroth,
and your wrath came and the season of-the dead to-be-judged and to-give the
reward to-your slaves namely-the prophets and to-the holy (ones) and to-the
(ones) fearing your name, the little (ones)
[G3398
τοὺς μικροὺς tous mikrous]
and the great (ones), and to-corrupt-through
the (ones) corrupting-through the earth.
Both “the little” and “the great” (ones) are rewarded:
Jeremiah 31:34 and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know me, from the least [G3397-1433 LXX: μικρού mikrou (origin of “micro”) ] of them unto the greatest of them, saith Jehovah: for I will forgive [סָלַח -H5545-salach, LXX: ιλεως] their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.
Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore might-break one of-these commandments, namely-the least, and he-might-teach the MEN thus, he-will-be-called least [G1646 ἐλαχίστων elachistōn] in the kingdom of-the heavens; but whosoever might-do and he-might-teach (them), this-(one) will-be-called great in the kingdom of-the heavens.
Romans 9:12 Not out-of works BUT out-of the (one) calling, it-was-said to-her that The greater will-be-slave to-the lesser [G1640 τῷ ἐλάσσονι tō elassoni];
This verse quotes Gen. 25:23, where the LXX also has τῷ ἐλάσσονι tō elassoni.
Romans 1:16 For I-am not ashamed-of the good-news; for it-is (the) power of-God with-reference-to salvation to-everyone trusting, both to-Jew first and to-Greek.
Romans 2:9
Tribulation and anguish upon every soul of-MAN of-the (one) working-out
the bad-thing,
both of-Jew first and of-Greek;
v10 But glory and honor and peace
to-everyone working the
good-thing,
both to-Jew
first and
to-Greek.
v11 For there-is not
partiality beside the God.
Matthew 20:16 Thus the last-(ones) will-be first, and the first-(ones) last: for many are called-(ones), but few chosen-(ones).
Hebrews 7:7 But separate-from all contradiction the lesser (thing) [G1640 τὸ ἔλαττον tō elatton] is-being-blessed by the better (person).
Romans 11:30 For as-altogether YOU yourselves at-one-time disobeyed the God, but now YOU-had-mercy-bestowed in-the disobedience of-these.
v31 Thus these also now disobeyed in-order-that by your mercy they themselves also might now have-mercy-bestowed.
Romans 11:7 What then? What Israel is-seeking-after, this it-attained not, but the choice attained; but the others were-petrified,
v8 Even-as it-has-been-and-is-still-written: The God gave to-them (a) spirit of-compunction, eyes not to-be-looking and ears not to-be-hearing, till of-the today day.
v9 And David is-saying: Let their table become into (a) snare and into (a) hunting and into (an) entrapment and into (a) repayment for-them,
Cont. Romans 11:10 Let their eyes be-made-dark (so as) not to-be-looking, and you-bend-completely their back through every-(thing).
The Jews disobeyed the Gospel. Scripture equates this to lawlessness:
2 Corinthians 6:14 YOU-be not becoming being-differently-yoked to-unbelieving-(ones); for what sharing by-justice and by-*lawlessness [G458 ἀνομίᾳ anomia], or what participation by-light toward darkness?
On lawlessness *[ανομιων-anomiōn]:
Note that until they (Israel) come into the New Covenant relationship with YHVH, even if “Torah observant", they are in a state of "lawlessness" in relation to the law of Messiah. The Levitical service, upon which all the Mosaic law was based (or "rested"), did not remove their sin. It brought a way of atonement, a yearly covering of sin, but not propitiation, a permanent removal of sin. That is, their lack of trust in YHVH Yeshua’s just act of sacrifice alone and their attempts at self-justification via their works of the Mosaic law makes them lawless ones in relation to the law/Torah of the New Covenant.
Of course YHVH provides the outcome:
1 Corinthians 10:13 Trial has not taken-and-is-still not taking YOU if not (a) human (one); but the God (is) trustworthy, who will not allow YOU to-be-tried above what YOU-are-being-able, BUT he-will-make with the trial also the outcome (for) YOU to-be-being-able to undergo (it).
Psalm 18:11 (ASV) He made darkness (חֹשֶׁךְ choshek) his hiding-place, his pavilion round about him, Darkness (חֲשֵׁכָ chashekah) of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
Hebrews 10:17 And of-their sins and their *lawlessnesses I-shall by-no-means still be-mindful.
Romans 11:26 And thus all Israel will-be-saved, according-as it-has-been-and-still-is-written: The (one) delivering will-be-present out-of Sion, he-will-turn-back impiety from Jacob.
cont. Romans 11:32 For the God shut-together all the (ones) with-reference-to disobedience in-order-that he-might-have-mercy (on) all the (ones).
cont. Romans 11:33 O depth of-God's riches and wisdom and knowledge; as unsearchable his sentences and untraceable his ways.
cont.

Torah portion:
Numbers 4:21 - 7:89
Haftarah portion:
Judges 13:2-25
Brit Chadashah/New Testament portion:
Acts 21:17-26
We often read surrounding N.T. scripture because it is such a blessing to do
so.
This week we read Acts ch 21 through 23 to better understand the events that transpired.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
YHVH (Yeshua/Jesus) is the law giver. He can do whatever he wants.
Acts 21:6
But it-came-to-pass to-me, proceeding and drawing-near to-the Damascus, around
mid-day unexpectedly out-of the heaven (a) considerable light to-flash-around
about me,
v7 And-additionally I-fell [in]to the ground and I-heard (a) voice-saying to-me:
Saul, Saul why are-you-persecuting me?
v8 But I myself-answered: Who are-you Lord? And-additionally he-said to
me:
I myself-am
Jesus the Nazarene, whom you yourself-are-persecuting.
"I myself-am"
-
ἐγώ
εἰμι ego eimi -
the same thing Jesus told Moses
when he appeared to him.
In Acts 26:14 Paul explains –by the Holy Spirit – in Greek – that Jesus spoke to him in Hebrew. Thus the Greek ἐγώ εἰμι ego eimi and Hebrew אהיה ‘Eh’yeh are made equal by the Holy Spirit.
And again this manifestation of the 2nd personality of the triune Godhead is seen in the Haftarah portion where Manoah and his wife recognized the Angel of YHVH as YHVH himself:
Judges 13:17
And Manoah said unto
the angel of Jehovah,
What is thy name, that, when thy words come to pass, we may do thee honor?
18 And
the angel of Jehovah said
unto him, Wherefore askest thou after
my name,
seeing it is
wonderful?
[פֶֽלִאי]
(Strong's
H6383, an adjective derived from H6381)
This seems that it could literally read "my name is Wonderful". Were it not for the vowels, which were added about 900A.D, the spelling is the same:
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful [פֶּלֶא], Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace
פֶּלֶא (Strongs H6382) is a masculine noun derived from פָּלָא (H6381).
H6381, פָּלָא is a verb. Really, this Hebrew word seems to have the same meanings through verb, adjective and noun contexts. This sounds like something Jesus would say to his disciples: "Why do you ask after my name? It is Wonderful."
19 So Manoah took the kid with the meal-offering, and offered it upon the rock
unto
Jehovah:
and
the angel did wondrously
[וּמַפְלִא],
and Manoah and his wife looked on.
20 For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar,
that
the angel of Jehovah
ascended in the flame of the altar: and Manoah and his wife looked on; and they
fell on their faces to the ground.
21 But
the angel of Jehovah
did no more appear to Manoah or to his wife.
Then Manoah knew that he was
the angel of Jehovah.
22 And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall
surely die, because we have seen
God.
23 But his wife said unto him, If
Jehovah
were pleased to kill us,
he
would not have received a burnt-offering and a meal-offering at our hand,
neither would
he
have showed us all these things, nor would at this time have told such things as
these.
Note that the angel of Jehovah is understood
