This is the dark secret the gas company keeps quiet about.
Seeing is believing, so give this a try:
Don't fill your propane take above 10%.
Fill your propane tank at 5%.
See how much gas you don't use. Isn't it amazing how long that 5% lasts? Compare this to the 5% between 85% and 80%.
It has something to do with tank volume and liquid to vapor conversion rates, I think.
Very little pressure is required for home appliances. A little liquid volume leaves more room for gas volume.
A little liquid propane will generate a lot of gas propane at low pressure.
